| MATH: We have finally completed the long (and difficult) chapter on fractions and mixed numbers. We are now started Geometry. Although it isn't my favorite, many of the students are loving it! | ||||||||||||||||

| Language Arts: Right now we are focusing on writing awesome paragraphs. We are looking at how detailed and factual a paragraph needs to be in order to be a part of a great 5-paragraph expository essay. In order to give the students a better understanding, we are writing "HOW TO..." paragraphs. The kids are doing great, be sure to stop by the 5th grade bulletin board and check out their great sequencing and language. We are also reading Grasshopper Summer which is in conjunction with their Westward Expansion unit. It is a great book that is action packed and keeps you wondering what will happen next. Be sure to ask your student about it! | ||||||||||||||||
