| With the new arrival of the next gen consoles, could systems roles possibly be switched? Playstaion 2 launched approximately a year earlier that the Xbox and Gamecube did last generation. This time arond, Xbox 360 launched a year before PS3 and Wii. Xbox was the graphical superior, heavy monster last generation, but now, PS3 is. Xbox was most expensive; PS2 was 2nd most expensive.... PS3 is most expensive 360 is 2nd most expensive. And Nintendo? Nintendo will always try revelutionary risks that at times pay off (NES) and at times flop (Gamecube). 360 takes the early lead, due to its unopposed absence of competition and 100+ games already out. PS3 and Wii may take a while to match that up. This shows what the general gamer wants; not intense graphics and insane feature - rather a traditional, inexpensive console that is good for everyone. Good luck PS3, maybe you can make that formula work, it sure didn't for Xbox. And PS3, try not to sell all your franchies to 360, will ya? | ||||||
