Need for Speed: Underground
The Need for Speed franchise started off slow with it's first release. Test drive was perferred over it. A couple years later, NFS2 came out. It was a hit, and they came out with NFS2 SE with more special features. Soon after, these games got old, so Electronic Arts came out with the new NFS Hot Pursuit. It was a huge hit with a brand new addition of cops. It sold like a free date with Cristinia Augularia. The game was raved over, so the people over at EA released a new game to the market: NFS High Stakes. This would feature more cars, better career mode, and most importantly excellent graphics. It did pretty well. They decided that was enough of the Ferraries and fast other brands and produced NFS Porche Unleashed. Intriging title, ok game. It was mediocre at best. The physics where way off according to Xbox Magazine. It sold worse than, screw the analogies and being nice, the game was glitchy, and it sold horrible (no wonder!). NFS Hot Pursuit 2 was soon released to make up for their loss. It more than made up for it. The game was excellent. Following the sucuss of it, comes the newest addition to the franchise, NFS Underground.
/\ Cool ride, but i perfer mine.
Need for Speed Underground is a name that should (and does!) set the standard for racing games of this type. Taking place in an underground racing league, NFSU lets you trick out your own ride. Unlike Midnight Club 2, you can add your own vinyls, your own everything down to the color of the wires under the hood of your car! NFSU is unrivaled to the more popular Midnight Club 2, even though Midnight Club 2 lets you race motorcycles.
The action is smooth, the voice acting is good, if you have the "motion blur" on, you get this incredible feel of speed. It's actually more real, if this is possible, then driving a real car fast.
I reccomend this game for the PC, as you can use the online feature, and more importanly, the steering weel and peddles.
This game'll set you back $40 on pc (even with extra features, still cheaper!) and $50 on the platforms. I give Need for Speed Underground by Electronic Arts, a perfect
5 out of 5.

                                  Sumary:

Concept - 4 out of 5 - It's been done before in movies like 2Fast 2Furious and games like Midnight Club, but I love the idea of illegal street racing.

Graphics - 5 out of 5 - EXCELLENT! Motion blur blurs the screen as you go past lights and other obstacles at a high rate of speed. I LIKE IT LOTS!

Sound - 5 out of 5 - Engine sounds sound really realistic, and as you come by fans they're screaming on the sidelines. The music wins my award.

Animation - 5 out of 5 - The cars look awesome, and all the details are 100% like you told it to do in the game.

Gameplay - 5 out of 5 - The game is fun to play. The physics are pretty good, not Grand Turisimo, but they're good.

Overall Score - 5 out of 5 - No matter what console you got, shell out $20 for this game. I can't wait for NFSU 2.
