Ok, I'm back. Oh yeah, the game. Not neccesarily a bad storyline, just not the best. Graphics, do i even need to go into this? Look at the damn screenshot! Single player is epic and extensive. It will always throw you a twist in the action or introduce a new feature. You and your rag tag team of COG good guys will blast through some 5,000 locust thingys. Sounds are incredible, from the whine of the chainsaw bayonet and roar of gunfire from the lancer's main gun, the sounds are incredible. The voice acting is second to none, Marcus's voice is provided by John Di Maggio. You may know him if you read the credits at the end of the animated TV show Futurama as he does the voice of the alcoholic robot bender. Good show, GREAT game. Animation-wise, incredible on all fronts, from smashing into cover and watching dust fly off the walls, explosion particle effects and watching locust baddies pounded to the wall. Unreal Engine 3. Multiplayer is sweet, but has standard gameplay types. In my favorite, Execution mode, players must "down" an enemy before "curb-stomping" him into death. To down an enemy shoot him till he falls to his knees, then curb-stomp him by well... decapitating him by pulling of his.... you get the idea.
Concept - 3 out of 5 - Standard. Evil aliens invade
an Earth-like foreign planet. It works.
Graphics - 5 out of 5 - The best of the best. Ohh, so this is what next-gen games look like.
Sound - 5 out of 5 - Superb. Chainsaws roar, enemies scream!
Animation - 5 out of 5 - Insane chainsaw effects with blood splattering and stuff.
Gameplay - 5 out of 5 - Very enjoyable. Cover shoot, curb stomp, cover shoot, chainsaw, rinse and repeat.
Overall Score - 5 out of 5 - Deffinately worth $60. IF you have a 360, i dont care who you are buy this game. Kids, sneak it in your house or play it at a friends house. Do something
