The favorite video game space marine of all time is back.
But this time, the game is graphically the most impressive
of any game you'll find under your Christmas tree, and it
came out in August! This game is definitely on par (in the
graphics department) with Halo 2 (coming November 9th,
2004).
First will kick this review off with the graphics. This is the best looking game to ever hit store shelves. In
fact, some stores jacked the price up to an all-time high of $55.00! 5 of 5 on graphics easily.
Next I'll move onto sounds. They are as good as the graphics. You hear far off screams and growling
monsters, as well as spooky (may we add that they make you nauseous) clips that a female in a whisper will
say. She says stuff like "Satan!" and "You stole my child!" But this isn't corny in the game. It's frightening.
Gunshots also sound great.
Now the gameplay. The game is smooth with the right graphics cards. (I use Nvidia GeForce 3) But still it's
pretty basic; your stuck in these black areas on mars. You go outside once, and eventually goto hell in the last
few stages. But no vehicle combat. That would have given this a 5 out of 5.

Summary:

Concept - 4 out of 5 - Standard. Evil zombies invade
mars. Mars is new....

Graphics - 5 out of 5 - The best of the best. The first
game to use graphics identical to Halo 2. (Hands-on
preview late September).

Sound - 5 out of 5 - Wow the sounds are better than the
graphics!!!

Animation - 5 out of 5 - Nice walkin' with yo arms out
homies! Zombies look like they had ALOT to drink last night at the bar.

Gameplay - 4 out of 5 - Standard. Would have been a 5 if  it had vehicle combat. Wow, that sounds satisfying.

Overall Score - 4 out of 5 - Fun game worth $50.
