Notice that all some backgrounds make reading text difficult, and can be more of a distraction than a help when viewing pictures.

Notice that these are identical to the first entry.  Duplicating elements saves time and effort.      Produce an entry as you want it, then  duplicate  the section.  This saves all formating as the original and makes the list consistent.  To create this list:

1.
Insert, Basics, Button to get the first button.

2.
Text, add text, format text as you wish.

3.
Highlight (select) button, shift-click the text box, duplicate.  (or "box-select" the section you wish to duplicate)

4. Move duplicate to desired position.

5. Repeat as many times as you wish.

6. Modify the text to a new entry.

Questions for Review

Practice Vocabulary : To see a sample vocabulary game click this link.  (This has nothing to do with light but illustrates a valuable internet teaching tool.)

1.  Write some review questions here.

Questions for Deeper Understanding

On-Line Quiz : To see how this quiz works click this link, type 'quiz6.1,7' in the session box and follow the instructions from that point. (This has nothing to do with light but illustrates a valuable internet teaching tool.)

1.  Write some tougher questions here to stimulate higher level thinking and show depth of understanding.  These could be assigned to your "brighter" students or offered to all as extra credit.

Extra Credit

Explain the difference between sight and sound of a fireworks display.

Challenge students with something for extra credit here.  Perhaps ask them to write something, challenge them to solve a problem or discrepant situation, or  interpret a digram or picture.

You are a watching a fireworks display and you notice that you see the light flash and the color a short time before you hear the sound of the explosion.  You even notice that the farther you are away from the display,  the greater the time bewteen the flash and sound produced by the explosion.

Explain in detail why this occurs.  (Use you book and notes from the last 2 weeks to add details to your writing to make it thorough.)
