Position: New Business Development Manager
Systems Administrator Manager
Got employed into the company by the time the majority of
shares were bought by a big Greek IT group. The task was to transform this
small ISP into one competitive to the big ISPs in Greece. The task was succeeded
successfully enough since the population of dial-up users was increased from
below 1,500 to above 12,000 in a period of less than a year. I started as
responsible for the systems, recorded all existed equipment, reconstructed the
computer lab and upgraded all systems to successfully support higher loads. At
the same time I was responsible for the team that was launching new services
for the whole process meaning the selection of software/hardware and their
installation/customization.
Responsibilities:
- As a
Systems
Administrator Manager I was responsible for the good functionality
of the offered services, as well as research and deployment of new
services. Additionally responsibilities covered the creation and
maintenance of procedures and policies enforced to the users. I was
responsible for the coordination of all personnel involved in these
projects.
- As a
New
Business Development Manager I was responsible for the research of
new technologies, the creation of new services that could be of use for
the company, their evaluation, measure their performance regarding the
market and test them before they get launched as a service to the public.
All this was done with additional input taken from Sales, Customer Care
& Marketing departments. From this position I had strong involvement
in the company’s strategic decision making.
