Company:  Internet Hellas

Position:    New Business Development Manager

                   Systems Administrator Manager

Got employed into the company by the time the majority of shares were bought by a big Greek IT group. The task was to transform this small ISP into one competitive to the big ISPs in Greece. The task was succeeded successfully enough since the population of dial-up users was increased from below 1,500 to above 12,000 in a period of less than a year. I started as responsible for the systems, recorded all existed equipment, reconstructed the computer lab and upgraded all systems to successfully support higher loads. At the same time I was responsible for the team that was launching new services for the whole process meaning the selection of software/hardware and their installation/customization.

Responsibilities:

  • As a Systems Administrator Manager I was responsible for the good functionality of the offered services, as well as research and deployment of new services. Additionally responsibilities covered the creation and maintenance of procedures and policies enforced to the users. I was responsible for the coordination of all personnel involved in these projects.
  • As a New Business Development Manager I was responsible for the research of new technologies, the creation of new services that could be of use for the company, their evaluation, measure their performance regarding the market and test them before they get launched as a service to the public. All this was done with additional input taken from Sales, Customer Care & Marketing departments. From this position I had strong involvement in the company’s strategic decision making.
