With so many ISP's out there, everyone is bound to have family or friends that do not have OE5. But there is a way for them to view your stationery as it was meant to be. By saving a composed stationery email in "mht" format, it allows the viewer to see all the graphics and special effects of the stationery just as an OE user would see them. The only requirement is that the recipient has IE 4.0 or better. Below is step-by-step instructions on how to save the composed stationery email in this format.
Select your stationery and compose your message. (See my Info Page for how to change or add sound to your stationery file.) Do not send the message. Click on File and Save As. Find the path that you would like to put this file in. I usually save them to my desktop for easy reference.
Example: "MyBestFriend
2. The next step is to add the mht file extension.
Example: "MyBestFriend.mht
3. Now just end it with quotation marks and you have your viewable stationery.
Example: "MyBestFriend.mht"
4. Go back into OE and click on New Message and simply attach the mht file you just saved and send.
1. When typing the file name you must start it with quotation marks (").
