A poem to my son on his 17th birthday

I have a son
one of my best friends
since 1984

we like to fish
and hike and boat
play basketball and more

he is quite the scholar
on the honor roll
at school

and don't get him in 
a computer game
'cuz he's good
he's fast
he's cool

sometimes I think 
he gets too wise
with quick remarks you see
but I really can't complain
'cuz he gets that from me!
