A Mother's Day poem 2001 A MOM is a friend from now 'til the end so glad she made room for me in her womb she fed me and dressed me and never distressed me she wiped food off my chin and at night tucked me in and there were no better deals than her great home-cooked meals a fancy restaurant?...OH FOOEY!!! I'll take Mom's American Chop Suey! she'd wake me for school her singing was cool and if I ever felt sick she'd cure me darn quick! well over the years I suppose I've caused tears but what I really long after are her giggles and laughter she puts up with Dad (No Really...he's the best one I've had!) still laughs at his jokes explains him to other folks so as a Mother's Day gift I'll follow her thrift and mail her this rhyme without spending a dime I'll paint her some flowers in just a few hours and love her forever tho' I can't repay her ever MY MOM is a friend from now 'til the end so glad she made room for me in her womb with love and a big smile, Chuck
