Scoring
A. Points will be awarded to players based upon the following system:
Offensive Players
Touchdown 6 pts
Touchdown pass 3 pts
2 pt conversion 2 pts
2 pt conversion Pass 1 pt
Field Goal 3 pts
Field Goal 50+ 4 pts
PAT 1 pt
Rushing (every 25 yd) 1 pt
Reception 1 pt
Receiving (every 25 yd) 1 pt
Passing (every 50 yd) 1 pt
Completions (every 4 comp) 1 pt
Interception 2- pt
Team Defense
Defensive TD 6 pts
Safety 2 pts
Turnover 2 pts
Sack 1 pt
0 pts allowed 10 pts
3-9 pts allowed 8 pts
10-16 pts allowed 6 pts
17-23 pts allowed 4 pts
24-30 pts allowed 2 pts
Win/Loss 1/1- pts
B. An automated scoring system will be used. In the case of a dispute, USA Today box scores as posted on the Internet will be the official source for resolving the dispute.
C. Touchdowns scored on special teams will count. Return yardage will not.
D. A blocked punt or field goal will not count as a turnover. A touchdown scored off a blocked punt or field goal will count as a defensive touchdown. A punt return or kick return will not. The difference is whether or not the ball crosses the line of scrimmage.
E. Defensive touchdowns will not count as individual player touchdowns.
F. Touchdowns given up by your defense’s offense will not count against you.
G.
Results become official at the start of the games two
week’s after the game in question, except for the last week of the season and
in the playoffs. During the last week of
the season and during the playoffs, results become official at the end of the
day prior the first game for that following week. If there is a question about scoring, please
contact the Commissioner as soon as possible.
