Shuttle astronaut Lisa Nowak has spnt almost a week in jail so far, for attemted kidnapping and attemted murder. Nowak drove 900 miles from Huston to Orlando, to confront a love rivel. Nowak was in love with shuttle pilot Williom Oefelein. Unfortunantly so was Colleen Shipman. Police caught Nowak at the Orlando airport, after she attemted to peper sprey Shipman, through her car window. Nowak drove the 900 miles without stopping to go to the restroom, by wearing adult diapers. In addition to the pepper sprey, police found trash bags, a knife, a meat mallet, and a rubber hose, Nowak was arained and charged. She could face life in prison. She has been suspended by NASA pending the outcome of her case. On a side note, NASA is reviewing it's phsycologicle evaluation proccess.

2/16/07: Ex playboy model Anna Nacole Smith died over a week ago, but still she lives on, at least in the courts. It started the day after her death with several guys comeing out claiming to be the father of her baby. Today a Hollywood Florida jusdge ordered DNA taken from her cheek and tounge. The medicleexaminer has already taken samples from her skin and blood. The judge ruled to have her body enbalmed as soon as the additional DNA swabs are done. He also has apointed an outside adviser to assist him in this confuseing case involving a super star. MY VIEW: In 2000 I had a chance to meet Anna Nacole Smith, and my impression was that she was a spoiled brat. That said, I think it is rediculous to what they everyone is putting her through after death. NO ONE not even her, deserves to be put through all this arguing
about her life after her death. No one seems to agree on anything. Her mother wants her burried in her home state of Texas. Her Layer and long time boyfriend wants her burried in the Bahammas. Then there is her 5 month old daughter. Just a month ago, Annas son died suddenly. It is unclear as to what killed the 39 year old Anna Nacole Smith.

Last week, Hillery Clenton announced that she is going to run for president in 2008. She announced this on her website last weekend. Hillery spent several days last week, on web chat with the voting public, takeing questions as well as concernes. She is the first woman to announce her bid for the pesidentcy. If she gets in, she will be the first woman and certainly the first former fist lady to be elected president. While first lady, she faught for better health care, as well as numorous womens issues.
PEDESTRIAN UNFRIENDLY:
12/11/06: Lately I have been stuck walking everywhere. In a town like Calimesa, it is NOT EASY. Today like almost everyday, I almost got hit by someone that doesn't know or doesn't care, that pedestrians have the legal right of way. Even the cop sitting there wanted to argue with me on the law of pedestrians. This town is NOT very friendly to pedestrians AT ALL. In addition to this incident, I TAKE MY LIFE INTO MY HANDS EVERYTIME I WALK IN THIS TOWN! There are few crosswalks, and just as few sidewalks. most of the time I end up haveing to walk IN THE STREET, because there is no SAFE place to walk without being in danger of being hit by traffic. Furthermore, the lack of public transportation DOESN'T HELP. As a matter of fact, Most have to walk a mile and a half to the NEERIST bus stop, and it only runs till 5pm on weekdays. YES MOST people have cars in the area. HOWEVER that does NOT mean that the city has to leave out the people that are not fortunant enough to drive. As of Febuary 23rd, 2007, morse code or CW will no longer be a requierment for an amature radio license. Up untill now, Technician class licensees needed not know code. The other classes of license: Tech plus, General, and Extra requiered knowing 5 words per minute in order to us HF or High Frequencies. But starting Febuary 23rd, code will no longer be requiered to get onto HF. As for the technician class, ALL techs will be bumped up to the Tech plus HF privliges.
These new Technician privliges include:
10meter voice and CW, 40 meters CW, and 80meters CW. The change will "grandfather in prier no code techs. There have been very mixed reaction on the HAM bands. Some of the guys I have talked to, plan on converting CB's for 10 meters. Others plan on takeing the General test after the 23rd. And even a couple of HAMs rushed out and got their General license with code before it became obsolete. As for me, I am studying code, but do not plan on upgradeing.
