(This is actually a pretty ugly background but it seemed appropriate.)
Simple Plan played at 1:45 (I think..somewhere around there) I got to the stage at 12:30. To my surprise there were already people there waiting. I took my place in front of Seb..front row of course, because its just not the same when you aren't fron row. What felt like forever soon turned into thousands of people and kick ass tunes from Simple Plan. I honestly didn't expect there to be that many people. At warped tour there weren't many people, at Edgefest II no one seemed to really be paying much attention and half the kids weren't even there yet, so why would Snowjam be any different? I was wrong! The crowd was worse for Simple Plan than it was for Treble Charger! I was being squished against the bar and people were crowd surfing and everything. The boys must have been in heaven! The songs were great and they were really energetic...more energetic than I've ever seen them. Especially Pierre! They were really funny too...lol...i think the funniest was the gay lovers thing. That was halarious! I was really surprised by how many people knew the words for "Kid". It was so loud! You couldnt even hear Pierre! And I even saw Seb say "Wow". Speaking of Seb, after their set he gave me a pic. He hopped right off the stage and gave it to me because he kept missing when he threw them. Later I got him to initial the back..but the initials are almost all smudged off cuz I was using the pic to play for a while...I stopped using it though. They are kinda still there. Oh well. I have his autograph a couple other times.
Later on that day, I, like a bunch of other people, met the guys. I never got the chance to meet them in teh autograoh line but it turns out that didn't matter. They are so nice and so funny. Lol. David is really funny. The boy knows he's sexy..its hilarious! I have this pic of his ass and I got him to sign it and he was going on about how sexy his ass was for God knows how long! It was so funny! Then I got him to sign this other pic of me and him from Edgefest II (which I don't have on this site cuz I look sooooo bad! lol) and he was like "Look at the sexy guy in this picture". lol. Chuck was funny too...he was telling everyone how to say stuff in different languages...it was hilarious! (I appoligize for saying that everythign is hilarious..but everything seems funnier at 4 in the morning...and its 4 in the morning right now).
Then even later on that day, me and a few of my friends managed to sneak our way back stage! That was the higihlight of my day! I talked to Jeff backstage for a while..we talked about guitar and crap..cuz u know he's a kick ass guitarist, and I will be a kick ass guitarist some day too. He gave us his email address and told us to write him. I felt so special until like three days later when they put the address's on the site..lol. what can ya do? Also while we were backstage we went onstage with Gob and me and my friend Shyla stood by Seb. Seb's so nice. He's a cool kid. Such a sweetie..anyways..It was funny while we were backstage because everywhere we went we saw David. It was hilarious! lol.
I guess I'll sum this up now...The day kicked ass! Theres no other way to put it! It was the best Simple Plan show I have seen yet! I can't wait for the next one! |
