Mr. Jofre is a Sr. Consultant/Engagement Mngr, in esavio’s Consulting Services Practice.  He is responsible for leading technical teams of consultant, developers and Informational Technology departments on customized implementations.  His expertise ranges from designing and implementing ERP solutions, back office business applications and eCommerce strategies.  Mr. Jofre has also been vital in the sales cycle, putting together presentations and technical statement of works for prospective clients.

Engagement Manager

·         Lead consultant in the development the TRAVELOCITY of Latin America (www.volando.com).  Mr. Jofre was instrumental in the initial client contact and subsequently earned the $2.5M account for the full development of the site using Oracle, Vignette and Sun solutions.  Involved in coordinating the co-location of the systems to esavio’s partner Sungard and the transition to Managed Services.  The latter included the introduction of HP Openview alarms to monitor the performance and availability of the site at all levels (from Network to Application).  (Client: TravelYa Inc.: http://www.volando.com )

·         Technical manager for an Oracle Upgrade Implementation of a warehouse management system. (Client: IVAX, http://www.ivax.com )

·          Technical lead in migration plans for www.whispernumber.com backend Oracle 8i data repository. (Client: Internet Financial Networks. www.infogate.com)

 

Sr. Consultant

·         Supported implementation of Oracle 8i and Intermedia. Responsible for tuning Oracle 8i DB. (Client: Internet Financial Networks, www.infogate.com, Ft. Lauderdale, FL), worked with Oracle Consulting to help improve response time of applications using various tuning strategies.

·         Designed and developed a Data Warehouse on Oracle Ver 7.3.4.  Automated incremental loads of manufacturing data into Data Warehouse. Helped determine best ways to use information on a one-dimensional ad-hoc query tool (Brio) and planned the scope for a multi-dimensional Data Mart solution. Responsible for automation of critical background processes. Worked closely with user community to identify opportunities for improvement in process cycle time.  (Client: Motorola, LMPS, Plantation, FL)

·         Designed and developed first order fulfillment system for the new North American PCS market based on specifications from Bellsouth. (System: OFS, Client Brightpoint Inc. www.brightpoint.com , Indianapolis, IN – NASDAQ:CELL).  This system has recently been patented by Brightpoint.

·         Developed and maintained customized applications for purchase order and pharmaceutical Rx processing. Designed new front-end applications to aid the testing of drug replacement logic.  (Client: PCS Health Systems, www.pcshs.com, Scottsdale, AR.  PCS is a subsidiary of Rite Aid Corporation.)

·         Migrated a GL system from Westinghouse legacy systems to Fourgen/Endura GL.  (Client :  Wesco Inc, www.wescodist.com, Pittsburgh, PA)

 

 

 

 

 

International Consulting Engagement

·         Technical lead in a $10M project implementing warehouse fulfillment systems for England’s and Ireland’s wireless GSM programs, Vodafone and Digisat respectively.  (Client: Brightpoint Inc. NASDAQ:CELL).  Mr. Jofre worked in Stoke-on-trent, England and Dublin, Ireland during the duration of this project.

 

Professional Background

Mr. Jofre has over 10 years of experience in manufacturing, order entry, accounting, distribution and eBusiness Consulting.  The last 5 years have been in the field of consulting where he has been involved in million dollar projects for Fortune 500 Companies.

 

Mr. Jofre was the technical lead in the development of Turismo Maso’s (Top Travel Agency of Venezuela) premier launch into the dot com market in Latin America.  Working alongside Vignette Professional Services (VPS) he led the team to deliver a full working portal within 4 months.  The site has since launched in Venezuela, Colombia, Brazil (as a StellaBarros partner) and Mexico.  This project contained various challenges dealing with multi language, localization and content management strategies.

 

Mr. Jofre has worked as an engagement manager for the Oracle DBA support contract at IVAX-ZenithGoldline in Walton, KY.  He led the DBA support introducing safety methods for a smooth transition into a new Warehouse Management system working side by side with SAP consultants from Israel.

 

Mr. Jofre also worked as the Technical Oracle Lead on Motorola's Manufacturing Implementation of a new DSS system.  He developed an automatic system to reliably migrate data between the Oracle manufacturing systems and the data warehouse.

 

Mr. Jofre also is experienced in the installation of Oracle Apps (10.7), its database objects and tuning techniques.

 

Prior to joining esavio in 1998, Mr. Jofre was employed by MIC Inc (www.micinc.com).  He initially started as a Senior Consultant.  In this role he led the implementation of Fourgen/Endura ERP Systems throughout various clients both in the US and abroad.

 

Prior to joining MIC Inc, Mr. Jofre was a Sr. Software engineer for Motorola Inc, PPG Group in Boynton Beach Florida.  During his tenure, he worked in the Computer Integrated Manufacturing group developing client/server software for one of the world’s most sophisticated automated manufacturing lines in a Stratus/Oracle/Unix environment.  Later he moved to the IT group where he helped implement new Unix/Informix systems to replace the old financial legacy systems.  Mr. Jofre was with Motorola for 4½ years.

 

Mr. Jofre holds a BS in Computer Science from the Florida State University.

Mr. Jofre is also an Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) as an Oracle ver. 8 DBA.

Mr. Jofre is fluent in Spanish, Portuguese and English.
