| Modifying The Tailpipe | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Everybody has there own techniques when it comes to modifying their car. Though any modifications necessary for installation of the tailpipe lighting is the responsibility of the user, I will show how I modified my own tailpipe. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| First you will need a tailpipe. The tailpipe come with the Xmods Body Kits. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| When drilling the hole I used a drill bit smaller than the size of the hole I'm drilling. Then to increase the size of the hole I slowly move the drill bit in a circular motion. You can smooth the hole by using a small needle file if you wish. |

| In most cases the tailpipe led will press fit in to the hollowed portion of the muffler with a snug and secure fit. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| If the hollowed portion of your muffler is slightly to large you can help secure the led with the sticky tak provided with the kit. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Special Notice: The tailpipe leds cannot be modified to fit the Nissan Z car body. The new Z style uses a different size tailpipe than the other model styles. If you plan on doing a tailpipe light modification to the Z, you will have to use one of the leds from the smaller leds included with your system. I will be building a special tutorial for those who wish to modify the Nissan Z tailpipe for lighting in the near future. Coming soon: I will also be building custom tailpipes for the Nissan Z and the other body styles pre assembled with the led built into it. All you need to do is attach the custom tailpipe to your car the same way you would with the stock tailpipe and plug your hot swap system in and your done. This will be sold seperately as an accessory. |
