We are happy to announce that our very own Jason O'Dell has won CarverComp 4!
CarverComp is an International contest among contemporary lure carvers. A lure type is announced and the contestants are allowed only a few days to produce a lure. The lure type for this competition was "A wooden lure with (2) different actions".
Here is what Jason had to say about winning the contest, "I wanted to create a unique and highly collectable lure. One that is destined to become a conversation piece for someones collection. My thought was to blend two totally different lures together. One 1/2 diving action and the other a top water popper. I added to the lure's interest by using vintage glass eyes from the 1940's, and a classic "Black Shore" paint job. |
