One person believes that one may eat anything, while another eats only vegetables. The one who eats must not despise the one who abstains; and the one who abstains must not pass judgment on the one who eats, for God has welcomed him. Who are you to pass judgment on someone else's servant? For one person considers one day more important than another, while another person considers all days alike. Let everyone be persuaded in his own mind. Whoever observes the day observes it for the Lord. Also whoever eats, eats for the Lord, and if we die we die for the Lord. None of us lives for oneself and none of us dies for oneself. For if we live, we live for the Lord and if we die we die for the Lord; so then whether we live or die we are the Lord's. Then let us no longer judge one another, but rather resolve never to put a stumbling block or hindrance in the way of a brother.
Romans 14: 2-9, 13.
For I know well the plans I have in mind for you, says the Lord, Plans for your welfare, not for woe! Plans to give you a future full of hope. When you call me, when you look for me, you will find me.
Gird up the loins of your mind, live soberly and set your hopes completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. Like obedient children, do not act in compliance with the desires of your former ignorance, but as he who called you is holy, be holy yourselves in every aspect of your conduct, for it is written, "Be holy because I (am) holy."
Since you have purified yourselves by obedience to the truth for sincere mutual love, love one another intensely from a (pure) heart. You have been born a new, not from perishable, but from imperishable seed, through the living and abiding word of God.
Do not return evil for evil, or insult for insult; but on the contrary, a blessing, because to this you were called, that you might inherit as a blessing.
Now who is going to harm you if you are enthusiastic for what is good? But even if you should suffer because of righteousness, blessed are you. Do not be afraid or terrified with fear of them, but sanctify Christ in your hearts. Always be ready to give an explanation to anyone who asks you for a reason for your hope, but do it with gentleness and reverence, keeping your conscience clear, so that when you are maligned, those who defame your good conduct in Christ may themselves be put to shame. For it is better to suffer for doing good, if that be the will of God, than for doing evil.
The end of all things is at hand. Therefore be serious and sober for prayers. Above all, let your love for one another be intense, because love covers a multitude of sins. Be hospitable to one another without complaining. As each one has received a gift, use it to serve ne another as good stewards that you share in the sufferings of Christ, so that when his glory is revealed you may also rejoice exultantly.
Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.
From that time on, Jesus began to show his Disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer greatly from the elders, the chief priests, and the scribes, and be killed and on the third day be raised. Then Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him, "God forbid, Lord! No such thing shall ever happen to you." He turned and said too Peter, "Get behind me, Satan! You are an obstacle to me. You are thinking not as God does, but as human beings do."
The Lord redeems loyal servants; no one is condemned whose refuge is in God.
So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
If anyone says, "I love God," but hates his brother, he's a liar; for whoever does not love a brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen.
