Like many people of my age, one of the primary ways in which I entertain myself is through video games.
However, two of the most common and popular genres, sports games and first person shooters, do not particularly interest me.
My favorite genre of video game is the role playing game, or RPG.
I enjoy both the western (like the Baldur's Gate series) and eastern (like as the Dragon Quest series) variations of the genre.
However, my favorite games are among the Strategy RPG subgenre, such as the Fire Emblem series and the Shining Force Series.
I also play a variety of games from other genres, including the action-adventure genre (The Legend of Zelda, Metroid), platformers (Super Mario Bros., Mega Man, Sonic the Hedgehog), and a wide assortment of others.
