ABSEILS IN THE BLUE MOUNTAINS
The Blue Mountains offers many spectacular areas for both beginner to advanced abseils. Here are but a few of the many in the Mountains.
MOUNT PORTAL

Located in the Glenbrook National Park this 50m overhang overlooks the Nepean River onto Penrith. There are also smaller abseils which are bolted.
BORES HEAD

This multi pitch abseil, five in all gives spectacular views over the Jamison Valley East of Narrow Neck. Abseils all under 30m and one breath taking traverse. Sitting on the edge of a cliff taking in the views is a spectacullar way to have lunch. Its more like a dry canyon taking 3 hours approximately. Pictured is the Start of the second abseil at the top of the traverse.
