He arrived at Jessie's at 5:30. He walked up to the door and rang the doorbell.
Jessie answered the door and said, "Um..hey Nick..uh what are you doing here?"
"Well, the guys and I thought we would give you a little early birthday present so we are taking you and the rest of the girls to Chicago for a night on the town," he handed her the rose," I stopped and got this for you on the way here."
"Oh Nick, it's beautiful, thank you,"she said thinking of how great it would be if things got to be the way they were before.
" I thought you would like it.Well...um.. this was suppose to be a suprise and we were going to wait for everyone to meet here at a quarter till 5 but I figured you would want more notice than that to get ready so I will leave you alone to get ready now,"he started to walk away.
"Wait, Nick, where do you think you're going? It won't take me that long to get ready, you can play nintendo or something," she smiled.
"Okay, cool,"Nick replied.
**MEANWHILE AT THE HOTEL**
Everyone else was finished getting ready and were ready to leave when Kevin said, "Where is Nick?"
"Oh, he said he had to do something before he went to Jessie's,"Howie said,"He promised to be there before we left though, he said he wouldnt miss it for the world."
"Ohhh. I think somebody's feelings are resurfacing," Brian said.
"Rok, I don't think the feelings ever DEsurfaced,"AJ said.
"Desurfaced?" asked Howie then laughed and shook his head. They all laughed except AJ.
"Okay, you can STOP now. Time to make fun of Brian, ohhh Rok, who do youuuu like?" AJ asked raisin his eyebrows up and down.
"OK! OK!"Brian interupted,"I like Cassie. But I'm not starting anything because I'll never see her. And if I were you AJ, I wouldnt be talking about someone else's relationships when you cant even handle your own! Do we all know who Bone likes?! He likes..."Brian let AJ finish this one.
"OK. I like Kim. Shes not sweet like the other girls. She has a wild side to her and you know thats my kinda chick!"AJ said with a precocious laugh at the end.
"Ok you guys, come on now, lets get to Jessie's before its too late to go any where!"Kev wanted to get out of there before they started talking about his relationships.
Everyone chorused, "KEVIN LIKES MICHELLE!"
Kev replied, "Yes I do but I dont think that is any of your buisness. And Howie likes Kayla dont forget but Kayla is gone now and he probably will never see her again so, sorry D."
"Hey, no prob. I can find someone else."Howie was ok with Kayla gone but he had this feeling that when things start heating up, he would get the down feeling again. Just then, the phone rang.
Kev answered, "Hello?"
"Hey Kev, its Kim. We are ready if you want to come pick us up. What vehicles are we taking?"
"I think we are taking a limo if thats ok with you guys."
"Sure! I mean that's great! This is going to be so much fun!"
"Ok then we will be there in a few,K?"
"Alright, BYE!WAIT Kev! One more thing..."
"Yeah?"
"My brother saw Nick at the flower store, what was he doing?"
"He was at the flower store!?! So that's where he went. Well let's just say the birthday girl is probably going to get a big suprise."
**MEANWHILE AT JESSIE'S**
Nick was playing playstation when Jessie came out,"Ok, Im ready." She was wearing a white skirt with black flowers on it and a white spaggetii strap shirt. Her hair was pulled back with two strands curled hanging down in front. Her make-up was done beautifully with just the right amount.
"WOW,"Nick said.
Jessie hit him on the shoulder and said, "You don't greet a girl with a helpless little 'WOW', what about you look great or somthing like that?"
"You look more than great!"he replied.
"Thank you, you don't look so bad yourself," she smiled. She could feel his warm eyes staring into hers as they moved closer together for a kiss
"WHOAAA!"Brian yelled through the window.
"Um...maybe we could pick this up later?"Nick asked her.
"Sure,"she replied.
"Umm...Bri, where is everyone else?" Nick asked.
"Oh. Kev went to get the limo and Bone went to pick up the girls at Kim's house. Um...did I interrupt something?"
"Umm...."Nick started
"No...uh no,nothing,"Jessie said.
**KIMS HOUSE**
AJ walked up to the door and rang the door bell.
"I'll get it!"Kim yelled. She gasped as she opened the door to see AJ standing before her. She had a huge crush on AJ and hadn't really been near him to talk very much yet.
"HOT MAMA!"yelled AJ.
She laughed,"Hi AJ."
"Damn, you looking cute tonight," he said.
"Awe, thank you..." she said smiling.
"Um Kim...do you think...well is there..some kind of oh I duno small chance that maybe you'd...go out with me?"he asked.
"I thought you'd never ask," Kim said smiling.
"So...is that a yes?" he asked and put his arm around her and the began to walk to the car.
**LATER AT JESSIE'S**
Kim jumped out of the truck and drug Jessie into the house.
"You are not going to believe this!"she exclaimed trying not to be loud enough for the people outside to hear. "I am going out with AJ!"
"No way! That's awesome girl! I think things with me and Nick might be getting back to how they were..."Jessie said.
"This is turning out to be one of the best birthdays i ever celebrated with you. Even if it's yours and not mine!"
"Well then lets get going so it can get like that sooner!"Kim announced.
"Ok! We are leaving people!"Kim yelled over all the talking.
They began the 2 hour drive with Kevin, Michelle,Brian,Elissa,and Cassie in the first seats in the front of the limo. AJ,Kim,Nick,and Jessie sat in the seats toward the back of the limo. It was going to be a long, interesting drive.
