"How could he?! I mean right in front of me!" Jess was still crying.
"Some men are just pigs, babe, and in this case, he is one," Kim said trying to make her feel better.
"I mean� I know she kissed him but�if he would have just stopped, pulled away�then I wouldn't be mad! But he just�sat there�and let her kiss him!"
"I know, I know�shh," Kim held Jess in her arms just as the door flew open.
"Jessie?" they heard Nick say as he came into view. Jess jumped into a stall and locked the door so Nick wouldn't see her cry.
"Oh come on baby! I'm sorry! It wasn't my fault!" he begged at the door of the stall.
"What do you mean it wasn't your fault?" Kim yelled.
"It wasn't!!" Nick yelled back.
"You could have just pushed her off you and-"
"Stay out of this Kim!" Nick screamed in her face. Jess opened the door to the stall.
"Don't yell at her! If anyone should be getting yelled at here it's you!" she cried.
"You're right�yell," Nick said looking ashamed. There was a silence.
"I �I can't," Jess started to cry again and ran out. She couldn't believe that he would do that. Nick. Her Nick. She stopped crying and stormed into the arena. She jumped on the stage, walked over to Gloria, and smacked her across the face. Gloria's temper fumed as she stared at Jessie.
"No on messes with my man!" Jess said.
"Oh yeah?" Gloria started, "I just did."
"You little-" Jess charged at her and they both were throwing fists and rolling all over the floor. AJ and Kevin tried to pull them apart but it took a good five minutes to do that. By the time the girls finished, they both were pretty banged up. Jess ripped out of AJ's arms and stomped out of the room. She went straight for the bus but didn't see anyone in there, so she couldn't get in. "Shit," she said. Just then, the door opened and out came Nick.
"What the hell happened?!" he said seeing her bruised up.
"What do you care?" she asked pushing past him, jumping on the bus and going straight to a bunk.
"What do I care?" he asked, "I care deeply." Jess cooled off enough to open the curtains for him.
"Then why did you kiss her?" she asked with a tear running down her cheek. He wiped it away.
"She kissed ME. I didn't know what to do, I just froze. I didn't mean to baby, I'm sorry."
"I know but�I don't know, it still hurt. It still makes me wanna kill her."
"Um� it looks like you already tried that� what does she look like?" he asked.
"Shit." Jess said starting to smile.
He laughed and said, "Now that's my girl."
"Just tell me it won't happen again," she said touching his cheek.
"Never, in a trillion years, will it happen again." He kissed her softly and she pulled him into the bunk, kissing him more deeply. The stopped after a few minutes.
"You better get back in there before Fatima has a cow. She already doesn't like me," Jess said.
"What?! She loves you! She just didn't like Sarah and Ally leaving and the idea of bringing two inexperienced girls in to go on at a show in 2 or 3 weeks. But she's said herself, she thinks you two are awesome dancers."
"I don't know how I'm gonna learn all those dances in two or three weeks. And to be dancing with that�that thing�I don't know�" she was interrupted by Nick.
"You'll be fine! Just forget about that 'thing', I'm sure she won't try anything again."
"Now I find that hard to believe," she said rolling her eyes. He laughed and there was a silence. She just enjoyed being there in his arms. She was so safe there. She flashed back to the night she stayed with Nick because of that guy on the loose. She held on to him tighter.
"Screw rehearsal," he said, "I'm staying here. Much more comfortable."
"Nick, I love you," she said.
"Oh, really? Thanks," he replied.
"Ugh!" she yelled smacking him with a pillow.
"Hey! I'm just playin! I love you too."
"Thank you," she said.
"You know what uhm�happened this morning?" he asked.
"Yeah�" she replied giggling.
"Well, uh� I kinda liked it. Wanna do it again?" he asked.
She was surprised and thought it was time to tell him something. She mumbled just enough information for him to figure it out.
"What?!" he yelled, "You're kidding, right?"
"No, I uh�thought it would, I dunno�make you proud or something, being a guy and all."
"You're serious? You were a virgin?" he asked in shock.
"Yeah, I was."
"Okay� it just kinda�surprised me. In a good way though, that's not bad!"
"Nick... I have loved you for like five years, I was saving myself for you," she said.
"Really? Wow� that makes me feel special."
"Good� now about that� how bout tonight? My house should be free by um let's say� eight o'clock?"
"Sounds great, "he said kissing her and they laid there until they fell asleep
