| Nick walked into the hotel, tired and worn out form his concert. He followed Marcus, his body guard, to the elebator and waited as it came down. The doors opened and tehy stepped in. Nick took his bag from hsi shoulder and put it on the floor, leaning his head against the wall and closed his eyes. It was the same thing over and over each night. And he had no one to share it with. No arms to come back to each night, unless he decided to go out to a club, get drunk, and wake up next to an underaged girl who's daddy would certainly kill her if he knew what she was doing. He'd make sure to elave a note early in the morning thanking her for a great time, and signing it: Love, Justin. If she had any clue at all, which they usually didn't, hopefully she'd brag the next day about hooking up with a boyband member named Justin, not Nick. Justin never knew why all those girls started those rumors. If only he knew. Nick laughed thinking about it and made his way to his room. As he was opening his door, he heard someone shriek down the hall. "Ouch, shit!" he heard a woman's voice yell. He walked down the hall to the door of the stair well which was propped open, and heard the woman moaning in pain. He looked down the stairs to see her sitting on a step holding her foot with a scrunched up look on her face. "Are you okay?" he asked. She looked up startled. Nick sucked in a breath at the site of her. she was beautiful. She had long, dark brown hair, gorgeous blue eyes, and her lips...he loved her lips. And she looked so cute in some pajama bottoms and a tank top. "I...I think I broke my ankle, or sprained it...or something," she said scrunching her face up in pain again. Nick knelt down beside her and looked at her foot. "I'm not a doctor but...I think you just sprained it. Where's your room?" he asked. "Um...up there, 237," she said pointing at the door he just came out of. "A few doors down from me, come on. Try to stand on one foot, I'll help you there," he said. "Uh...okay...I'll try," she replied. She grabbed one of his hands and the railing on the wall and stood up on her right foot. They turned toward teh door and had to clumb 5 stairs. Nick put his arm around her waste and helped her up to the door slowly. "There ya go," he said,"just keep hoppin, be a bunny," he said, then wondered why the hell he said that. He blushed, feeling stupid, but she laughed. "I certainly feel like one," she said. They made their way to the door and she took her key out of her pocket. "Oh um...I'm Nick," he said. She smiled. "I know." "Oh..." he replied. There was a pause as she got the door opened," and you are?" he asked. "Oh! Gosh, duh. I'm Elizabeth. Most of my friends call me Liz...or Beth...whichever," she said as he helped her into her room. He helped her to the couch where she sat down quickly and closed her eyes and sighed. "Well it's nice to meet you Elizabeth," he said. She smiled faintly. "Yeah you too. And thank you so much for helping me in here.I'd probably have been sitting out there all night. No one ever uses the stairs," she said patting the couch next to her where he sat down leaning toward her foot to look at it. "It looks swollen, um...do you have anything to put some ice in? A plastic bag or somethin?" he asked. "Ummm..."she started to think. "Hold that thought, I'll be right back," he said getting up and hurrying to teh door. He opened it and put his shoe in the way so it wouldn't close. With only one shoe on, he went to his room and straight to the freezer. He took out an ice bag that Kevin bought him the day before because he'd hit his head when AJ tripped him. He quickly went back to Elizabeth's room and walked in to see her trying to stand up. "No no no!" Nick yelled startling her and making her hit her foot on the table. She threw her head back in pain and let out a little wimper while closing her eyes and biting her bottom lip. "Shit," Nick said,"I am so sorry." "No, no, it's not your fault," she said quiletly. A single tear fell down her cheek. "Here," he said putting the ice bag on her foot gently. She sucked in her breath as the cold touched her skin but relaxed a bit later when it began to go numb. "Thank you so much," she said. "No problem, just keep that on there," he said. "You don't have to stay, you've really done enough..." "Oh no, don't worry about it. I don't mind! That is unless you want me to go...I can..." he started to stand up but she stopped him. "No! It's fine, I'd enjoy the company," she said. He smiled, "Okay well, I'm gonna go take a quick shower cuz I just finished a concert but I'll be back in like 15." She smiled, "Okay." "Don't move," he said pointing at her. She laughed," I'm not goin anywhere." "Okay," he said smiling and went out the door making sure his shoe was still in place so Elizabeth didn't have to ge tup and open the door. Nick quickly stepped into the shower and hurridly washed himself. "Calm down, Nick. We're just gonna hang out for a while. She sprained her ankle, you're helping her out. It's nothing more," he told himself. But oh he wished it was more. She was beautiful, and she seemed really nice. 'Maybe I should take this one slow,' he thought, 'Yeah. I'm gonna do thsis one right.' |
