Abstract

A new computer feature is provided to allow a computer user after a break from use to easily re-locate a cursor displayed on a screen. This invention is particularly useful for those computer users who have vision difficulties either because of an illness, a surgical operation or just because of age such as being young children or elderly people. The cursor position indication feature serves to make the screen cursor more noticeable for directing user attention to locate its position. One aspect of feature includes a blinking cursor, preferably blinking with various colors for a pre-set amount of time.

Another aspect of the present invention includes a scaled enlargement of the screen cursor and a subsequent scaled reduction to its regular size over the pre-set amount of time. The scaling process includes a gradual enlargement and/or reduction over time in cursor size whereby providing a smooth and animated zooming effect. Furthermore, the cursor changes may be more dynamic in that graphical animation may be used, such as an explosion or any customized animated sequences. Where appropriate, sound and music may also accompany the various embodiments of the present invention.
