Hello Fall!

I know you are coming by the song the wind is humming!
Wandering winds brush the air with autumn glory,
And we hear the whispering whistles that Fall gives to us as a gift.
The outside air is crisp and cool, and the whispering wind echoes:
"Welcome Fall!"
Colorful leaves falling all around,
Making a blanket for the chilly ground.
The birds stir and linger not,
Traveling south, deep in thought.
They battle south against the autumn wind,
Chains of birds flying overhead,
Slicing through the sky like a knife through bread.
Autumn leaves rustle with a paper-thin sound,
Knowing that they are winter bound.
Strong breezes shake the trees like the shaking of maracas,
And as the cool breeze passes by,
Brightly colored leaves flutter down from a clear blue sky.
The wind is speaking to the leaves,
Elevating them towards the sun
And then they sway,
Like a baby in its mother's arms,
Down, Down, to the grassy bed beneath.
Acorns fall from the mighty oak,
While maple sap glazes the bare trees with the sun's reflective shiny glow.
Countless leaves escape the grip of menacing trees,
Swaying in the silent breeze.
A tornado
Of swirling
Red, orange, and yellow.
Petrified leaves lie like a blanket on the damp, dewy ground
As suirrels retreat to their winter lairs.
Trees once painted in brilliant color stand bare,
Now beautiful gold and crimson leaves litter the dew-covered ground.
Like a blanket of frosting coating the fields,
Delivered by an icy breeze.
Warming by the fire, hot chocolate in hand,
I gaze through the window at this amazing autumn land.
The Earth has aged.
Her face is old.
The story of her youth is told.
When winter is lurking and summer left behind,
I find the meaning of the Fall in the dust.
Are you looking for the magic of the Earth?
