Summary: AU. Its Day of Love on the Rebel Base and Han and Leia are alone while everyone else isn�t even Luke.

�The Day of friendship,� Han said.
�Yea here,� Luke said handing him a package.
�What is it,� Han asked.
�Open it and find out,� Luke said and he tore the wrapping off.
�Corellian Brandy,� Han said smiling.
�From the Old Republic you have no clue how hard this was to find,� Luke said.
�Sure I do kid�here,� Han said.
�Thanks Han,� Luke said taking a small little bag.
�I have to go help Chewie thanks Luke,� Han said leaving in a hurry.
It was a patch to put on his jacket, but it was a Corellian patch. This patch was special represented friendship and family something all Corellian hold dear. Luke went into his room got his jacket out and began to sew the patch on. To most it looked like some military patch, but to a Corellian it meant more. When he was done he put it on just as his roommate and fellow rouge buddy, Wedge walked in.
�Hey boss,� Wedge said.
�Hi Wedge,� Luke said.
�Where�d you get that,� Wedge asked curious.
�Han gave it to me for Day of Friendship,� Luke said.
�You gave him the brandy,� Wedge said.
�Yes now all my rouge buddies get their presents,� Luke said.
�You got us all something,� Wedge said smiling.
�Yes the next week off,� Luke said.
�The best present I gotten so far,� Wedge said.
It wasn�t that hard to get the week off since the Rouges work overtime almost every day. Leia had mainly begged him to take it so he did for his men. He knew they all would love it and they did. Luke didn�t mind since his girlfriend, Tisha in command had the next two days off. When Han heard that Luke had a girlfriend it hit him hard.
�Even Luke has someone,� Han mumble to himself.
�Suck doesn�t it,� Leia said and Han jumped about five feet.
�Don�t sneak up on someone like that,� Han said.
�Sorry thought you could use some company,� Leia said.
�I don�t,� Han said.
�Fine I could use some company and I can�t stand another love story,� Leia said.
�That bad,� Han said.
�Yes Tisha is telling everyone about her and Luke meet and how sweet he is,� Leia said
�Fun,� Han said.
Han could see she came here because she was alone and so was he. The last few days he had more than one offer, but refused. Right now was the first night of spending it with that someone special. There was a big party on the base both days. Han knew that Leia didn�t like the party it was for couples and if you didn�t have anyone it kind of sucked. Chewie was in the back repairing something so he got an idea.
�Why don�t we get out of here,� Han said.
�No one can leave base until after Day of Love is over,� Leia said.
�What,� Han said.
�General�s orders�if you want you could come to my quarters,� Leia said unemotionally.
�Sure it�ll get me away from Chewie and that party,� Han said mimicking her tone.
Han went back to Chewie telling him that he would be back later. Chewie just growled an okay telling him that he could do more with him being here. Han smiled and walked up to Leia they walked by the party to see couple after couple dancing. Han took a seat on the couch while Leia went to get something.
�Han I know I�m not your best friend but I got you something,� Leia said handing him a package.
�Thanks Leia,� Han said opening it.
�It�s nothing much really,� Leia said.
�No it�s prefect how�d you know,� Han asked looking at the album.
�You mention he was one of your favorite singers,� Leia said.
�I got you something but it�s back at the Falcon,� Han said.
�That�s okay,� Leia said smiling softly.
�No wait here,� Han said.
Leia thought about what Han could have got her. Luke got her a ring that she thought was very lovely. She had got him a picture of Obi-Wan she had found in the only bag of her father stuff. The picture had him and some other young jedi, Luke recognized as his father. She could see he loved it dearly then she gave Han the album of songs. Han came back with a some what not really small but not really big square package in his hands. When she opened it her eyes open large and Han swore he saw her eyes water.
�Han it�s a painting of Alderaan,� Leia said touching it.
�Yea I found a month ago so I bought it for you,� Han said.
�Thank you so much,� Leia said hanging it up.
�You�re welcome Leia,� Han said smiling.
�Han may I do something unethical and unprincess like that you won�t like,� Leia said.
�By all means,� Han said curious.
Leia grabbed his face in her hands and kissed him. It caught him by surprise but he reacted by putting arms around her waist. Where in the world did she get the idea he wouldn�t like this? Han didn�t know who started the rumors about her not being able to kiss but they were so wrong. Leia couldn�t believe she actually kissed him, but he did give her permission.
�Where�d you get that I wouldn�t like that,� Han said resting his forehead on hers.
�Just an observation,� Leia said.
�A very wrong one,� Han said.
Han kissed her again this time Leia parted her lips slightly. Han took the hint and parted his lips as well. His tongue against her it was a strange feeling but one they both welcomed. Han had no idea if she was going to hit him afterwards or just act like it was nothing. Leia knew that it couldn�t last long for Han Solo could have any woman he wanted why would he think about her.
�Maybe I should go,� Han said.
�Go,� Leia questioned.
�Yea before it too late we�re friends and,� Han said.
�I know,� Leia said.
Han made no move to go neither did Leia just staying in the embrace. She felt safe with his arms wrapped securely around her. It almost seemed like time stood still for them. Han made his move out of the embrace slowly walking to the door. What was he doing he finally had the woman he wanted in his arms and he was leaving. Leia watched him go his movements slow like he didn�t know what he wanted to do. Finally he made it to her door pushing the codes the swung open and he walked out.
�Oh hell,� Leia said.
Leia walked out the door grabbing his arm, making him turn around and she kissed him again. This kiss was not as passive as the others they shared. Full of power, passion, and desire they shared for one another. Han�s mind was in a daze as they started walking backwards to her quarters.
He should leave he couldn�t do this but than again she did come for him. The good thing was no one on base would know about this. All they needed to go around was Han Solo seduced Princess Leia but in a way it was the other way around. Did either of them really care right now, if asked the answer would have been no.
Until this moment Han hadn�t even realized she was wearing a dress instead of her white flight suit. Han then remembered she had to give a speech at each social even so that meant she had to dress up. There material was thin a little to thin for the cold planet of Hoth. Han came to one conclusion the dress had to be white. That could be the only reason why he didn�t notice.
Neither of them knew what happened one moment they were kissing the next minute they were in her bed. He wanted to take it slow and easy knowing this was her first time. They could hear the party outside woman and men dancing, drinking, talking, and just having a good time. But the world in Leia quarters was quite and full of passion. He wanted to stop when he heard her cry of pain he wanted to leave her until she kissed him. It wasn�t the kiss that made him move a bit it was that she arched her back a bit. Something changed in that moment a hunger in her kiss that wasn�t there before. For the first time he was seeing Leia not Princess Leia of Alderaan or leader of the alliance Leia but just Leia.
Han woke up to next morning knowing he wasn�t on the Falcon. The bed was too big, too soft, and warm. Then he realized he wasn�t in the Falcon he was in someone quarters. He looked down to see a sleeping Leia Organa cuddled up to him. That explained the warm feeling he got when he woke up. He also saw that it was late morning and Leia was going to be late for meeting.
�Leia,� Han said.
�Hmmm,� Leia said.
�Time to get up your late,� Han said.
�What,� Leia said half a wake.
�You slept in,� Han said.
�Oh,� Leia said sitting up clenching the blanket to herself.
Han watched her get up not caring that she had nothing on under the sheet. She put on her under clothes and one of her white flight suits. She slowly took her hair out of the messy braids it was in after the night they had. She combed her hair than put it up in top-braids again. She then started to apply a small amount of make-up to her face. Han watched her every movement from the way she walked to the way she tied her shoes. Leia had noticed that Han had not moved from the bed just watched her.
�See something you like flyboy,� Leia said putting her hands on her hips.
�Maybe,� Han said as Leia went over to him.
�Maybe,� Leia repeated kissing him like she did the night before.
�Hmmm�Leia as much as I hate to this you�re already 15 minutes late,� Han said smiling.
�Right,� Leia said.
Leia walked out of her quarters seeing that almost everyone was getting a late start. She had slept with Han Solo, she than got dressed in front of him, and kissed him goodbye. She was late for a meeting she was never late for anything in her life. What could she use for an excuse to explain this? She fell asleep before she could set her alarm yea they�d believe that one like they would if someone said Luke Skywalker was a murder.
�Princess you�re late,� General Rieekan said.
�I know my alarm didn�t go off I think it�s broke,� Leia said.
�That�s okay everyone a little behind this morning, I�ll have someone look at your alarm,� General Rieekan said.
�No I saw Captain Solo a few moments ago he said he�d look at it,� Leia said.
�Remember tonight the last night for Day of Love,� General Rieekan said smiling.
�I know,� Leia said.
�And you must stay for more than 5 minutes,� Luke said.
�Luke good morning,� Leia said.
�Good morning General I�ll be leaving in two days for that run,� Han asked.
�Good, did you fix it,� General Rieekan
�Excuse me,� Han questioned.
�Princess Leia�s alarm she said you were going to fix,� General Rieekan said.
�Oh I needed her code so she said I could do it tonight before the party,� Han said.
�Why did she just give you the code,� General Rieekan asked.
�I think she wants to make sure I do it right, you know Leia,� Han said.
�Yes I do�she seems different today doesn�t she,� General Rieekan said looking at her.
�Different how,� Han asked seeing her joking around with Luke.
�I don�t know really she just seemed different�emotionally,� General Rieekan said.
�Could be the time of year, sir,� Han said trying not to smile.
�Could be Captain,� General Rieekan said
The alarm broke he was going to have to help her with making up excuses, but they bought it. They probably thought since Leia said it that it was true. No way would Princess Leia Organa ex imperial senator of Alderaan would lie to anyone. She was too dedicated to the rebellion to ever do that.
He saw her working but could tell she wasn�t working as hard as usual. Was he a bad influence on her already? He had to hurry he had to help Chewie with a couple repairs then he had to �fix Leia alarm� tonight.
Han walked into her quarters to find her sitting on her couch reading a data pad. He carried his tool just in case someone was watching. They had two hours before the party that Leia had to stay at tonight. He looked at her she gave him her sweet schoolgirl smile. He put his tools down as Leia began to laugh a little when he placed them in front of her. She was in her robe her hair was down and he was sure she didn�t have on any clothes under the robe.
�Always walk into someone�s quarters without knocking,� Leia said.
�Sometimes,� Han said wanting to finish what they started early today.
�Sometimes,� Leia said kissing him.
Leia knew what he was thinking when he said that word sometimes with that smile. Leia didn�t hold anything back giving herself fully and freely. Han pulled open her robe letting his hand roam over the smooth skin. He was right she had nothing on under the robe. Had she been expecting him or was she just getting ready for her shower. He didn�t even notice she�d taken his shirt off until she started on his pants. He realized she was pulling him towards the refresher. He quickly kicked off his boots and pants while trying not to break the kiss.
�You know I like this side of you,� Han said.
�Really,� Leia said.
�Will I get to see more of it,� Han asked.
�Maybe,� Leia said pulling him into her shower.
Most of the people were surprised to see Leia dress was red and not white. The more surprising thing is that the dress had very thin straps and was at knee length. Her hair was up in a bun but was still braided. Han walked in a few moments later wearing a pair of black pants with a white shirt and black vest. He looked very nice very non-Han Solo like. Han caught sight of Leia he smiled at her beauty.
�You look very lovely this evening your highness,� Han said kissing her hand.
�Thank you Captain Solo,� Leia said.
Everyone in the room could see the hidden emotion behind their words. If not by their word it was by the way he looked at her. The way he gently kissed her hand bowed like a true gentleman. Han didn�t realize how much she too was changing him. General Rieekan came over to Leia to speak to her as Han left her side. Chewie was talking to Luke while he waited for Tisha to get to the party. Artoo was next to Luke and Han would have sworn Artoo slept near his bed. It was the last night of Day of Love than things would get back to normal until Christmas in three months.
�Are you busy Princess,� Han asked.
�Actually we were talking about next week�s,� General Rieekan began.
�No why,� Leia asked.
�I was wondering if you�d honor me with this dance,� Han said.
�I�d love to Captain,� Leia said.
They danced a little to close for two friends General Rieekan knew that. He knew her every step her every movement. The way he held her was as if he held her a hundred times before. Luke smiled at his friends Tisha came in smiling at him but frowning at Artoo. Han knew that the rumors about them would get worse but right now he didn�t care.
He saw Luke and his girlfriend in what was their first argument. He knew his predication about their relationship was right they were just not made for another. He needed a woman who would challenge him from the moments they met to the moment they died. Or maybe Luke was still hooked on that Mara girl he met a few years back. The next day he found Luke by his x-wing along with Artoo.
�Hey Kid,� Han said.
�I�ll never understand woman,� Luke said.
�Good that you learn that now,� Han said.
�They say one thing but mean another,� Luke said.
�You broke up with Tisha didn�t you,� Han said.
�She said I even get rid of Artoo or her,� Luke said.
�So you kept the droid,� Han said.
�Yea at least I understand him,� Luke said.
Yes Love day was over people didn�t care about having someone right now. Men were confused woman were upset. Of course this holiday worked out for him. He knew Leia thought the same way, since they were having dinner that night. Luke and Tisha stayed friends no matter how weird she thought Luke was for choosing a droid over her. Han and Leia kept their relationship a secret not wanting anyone to know just yet. But people knew but never asked or said anything directly to them.
