Summary: The crew thinks how Crichton has change over the last few cycles, while he is unconscious and sick. J/A moments

�Crichton can you hear me,� Zhaan said touching his pale skin while trying to see if he was still conscience.
Aeryn had a bad feeling something was wrong and went to find the others. Walking to find the others she thought about Crichton and how he has changed since they�re first met. She did feel sorry for slammed him against the wall and flip him on the floor when they first meet. She didn�t know she felt that why he was Crichton, human and that was it. Then she noticed Zhaan on the ground but what really caught her eyes is that she was leaning over an unconscious Crichton.
�Zhaan what�s wrong,� Aeryn said as she came to stand by Zhaan.
�He�s sick Aeryn and I need to get him back to Moya now,� Zhaan said.
D�argo had become just as worried as they were, and agreed to carry his weak friend. How much had change between them, Aeryn thought as D�argo carried Crichton back to the pod?
D�argo Point of View
When I think of the name John Crichton I no longer think of the weak human I first met. I think of the human who has come to be my best friend and a great warrior. When I first met him, he was barely able to defend himself, and now he has saved my life many times. I think back to the royal Planet he really didn�t save my life, but did help me save Chiana�s. Chiana was hung over the acid and he risked his life to save her and me--he is not the human I first met so long ago. When he first came aboard Moya he never carried a weapon�now you�re lucky to see him without one. I don�t know if that a good or bad thing, but it shows he not as na�ve, as he used to be. As long as he doesn�t try to teach me anymore of his non-realist games, like paper over does rock, yea right!! Then there was what happened a few solar days ago. I started to ask him about what might happen to him when he gets back home. He said he wasn�t leaving, so why worry about what happen to him on earth. He has accepted that he was put out here for a reason, and he doesn�t want to go back to his planet, Earth. Know I look at him, and notice his weapon is where it has been for over the last cycle or two. So John Crichton you have to live, because there is no one who could take you place.
Zhaan Point of View
�Go now,� I said to Aeryn who had not left his sight.
�Zhaan,� she said.
�Aeryn you will be the first to know if there is any change,� I said and then she left.
To look at you laying there so helpless and sick hurts me so much. I can remember when we shared unity, and are thought emerged as one. I could see bits and pieces of you life and what you had been through. The way you remember your earth is as I remember my home. For we share a bond John Crichton and if I can�t heal you with any of my herbs then I�ll have to find another way. I remember how you shared unity with me to save me-- to protect me so I have to protect you. Over the last few cycles you have change more than any of us. You have proven to be the most caring and brave person I know. Your Ideas are not as alien as they were when we first met. I remember when I first thought you were a peacekeeper how wrong I was. It does worry me that you call on your weapon more than you first did. I know you most and I understand why it hard to live this life and not. I am happy that you only kill when you have to and you feel remorse afterwards. I think of how you are always there to listen to our problems and try in every way to make them right. You are a best friend to D�argo, and a brother to Chiana, a son to me, a true love to Aeryn, a tech to Pilot and Moya, and to Rygel well a�a�semi-friend and protector. I know one day you must return to your home, and I hope�no I know you will be an out cast�for all you have seen, know, and been through will change your point of view. I truthfully know you don�t trust anyone besides this crew, besides your family.
Chiana point of View
Crichton you have to be well. I know D�argo cares for me, but I need you. When my brother died you were there to take his place. If I had to link to another person I know it would be you. Yes, I love D�argo but our link goes to someone who is special to us beyond that. It goes to someone we can trust emotionally and physically. I know you are going to be ok�you have to be, because I can�t lose you to Crichton. I remember when I first came aboard you were the first to be my friend and never and never ask for anything in return. You trusted me�and gave me a home and you�believed in me. I hope Aeryn understand how lucky she is to have you. If she actually wakes up and notices that you are in love with her not anyone else. For the first time in my life I have a family that I don�t have to pretend to be someone I�m not. I remember when all the times you were there when no one else was, how I can rely on you if not on myself. Crichton please get well soon I beg of you�be ok.
Rygel and Pilot Point of View
�Pilot have you heard anything about Crichton,� Rygel asked.
�No I have not, I was just thinking how many times he has help Moya and me out. How he has become a lot more self-efficient,� Pilot said.
�I was thinking how much his stuff is worth after he dies,� Rygel said Pilot gave him if this looks could kill look.
�Ok, I�ll admit it he�s not the same Crichton we all first met. He�s a better tech then anyone on board, he helps in his own bizarre human way, and has saved my life on more then more occasion,� Rygel admitted softly.
�He does seem not to want to go back to homeworld as much as he did,� Pilot said.
�Why do you say that,� Rygel asked?
�Well he used to have me scan for Wormholes every microt I could�and it�s almost been a half of a cycle since he�s asked me to do so,� Pilot said.
�Have you found anything, I mean a wormhole,� Rygel asked?
�No, not in the last few solar days, but I�ll keep scanning in case he ever asked again,� Pilot said and With that Rygel left.
Aeryn point of View
What am I suppose to do, while he in there just sit here and hope for the best. I keep remembering all those times we kiss, and then I made excuses up for them. Like the time with the flax when we thought we only had a half of an arn left of breathable air. Then there was when we were on the fake earth, that night we�ve never really talked about. I know it could never work, Crichton being human and I being an ex-peacekeeper. But I�m not a peacekeeper anymore so I could�no I can�t. But he is the only one I can show my emotions to and he never judges. What if he dies and I never get the chance to at least tell him I care for him. I only hope that all humans are the way he is, but something tells me they aren�t. I asked him once and he told me that all humans are different, some have the same ideas but they all are different. He took me from my home--but gave me a new one. I don�t know how I will ever be able to thank him for it either. He has change over the last few cycles you can see it in the way he does everything. He knows who he can trust and who he can�t. He uses a weapon more than I ever thought he could or would. He�s proven to a great friend to all of us. I don�t know what I would do if I lost him, for than I would truly be alone.
Epilogue
�Zhaan,� Crichton whispered as he looked up.
�Crichton,� Zhaan said.
�Yea what up,� John chocked out.
�Aeryn come here quickly,� Zhaan said in to her comm.
Aeryn heard Zhaan voice go over and over in her head. She never called back asking what was wrong just got dressed and started her way towards the infirmary. She didn�t really walk but she didn�t really run there either. All that kept going through her head is Crichton could be dead.
�Zhaan what is it,� Aeryn said rushing in.
�Hey Aeryn,� Crichton said trying to sit up.
�What happen to him,� Aeryn asked going to his side.
�I�m really not sure�let me run a scan on your blood,� Zhaan said.
�What do you remember Crichton, before you fell,� Aeryn asked helping him sit.
�I was walking I heard Zhaan call my name�then I got really dizzy�and I woke up here,� Crichton answered.
�By your blood test you have a simple Vetra virus�you�ll need to eat these herbs and rest,� Zhaan said handing Aeryn a packet of mixed herbs.
�No problem blue,� Crichton said trying to keep from falling as he stood up.
�Aeryn help Crichton back to his quarters please,� Zhaan asked.
�Sure,� Aeryn said.
Aeryn was mainly the only thing that was keeping Crichton from falling flat on his. She made sure that she was not walking to fast. It didn�t take long for them to reach his cell and then he went straight for his bed and laid his head on the pillow. A few hours later Crichton woke up to see D�argo outside his cell.
�Hey big guy,� Crichton said as D�argo walk in.
�Hi John,� D�argo said as he noticed right away that his weapon was on his belt.
�Crichton you know you could take that off, at least while you are resting,� D�argo said as Crichton looked down at his belt.
�I feel safer with it on me,� Crichton said getting settled in his bed.
Everyone had come to see Crichton and make sure he was as well as he said he was. It had been 4 days and since he was returned to cell and very one had calmed down about him except Zhaan and Aeryn. Pilot had even said that he will be glad when he can get back to work, Aeryn could really use the help.
�Hey Aeryn,� Crichton said as she came to check on him for the 4 time this arn.
�Hey yourself,� Aeryn said remembering what he told her about the saying.
�So why is it that everyone but you and Zhaan are still worried about me,� Crichton asked sitting up once again.
�Zhaan and I are just worried about you�it may come back,� Aeryn said coming more in to his quarters.
�I�m fine�it�s been 4 solar days and if I don�t go back to work soon I�ll go nuts,� Crichton said.
�Crichton do you think you�ve changed,� Aeryn asked and he thought for a few seconds.
�You know when I first came aboard I never carried any kind of weapon then one day I woke up and I didn�t feel safe without it,� Crichton said as he looked at his belt and Aeryn knew how he felt.
�Well that makes you a strong, and makes you understand this world easier�I hope your friend on earth understand that,� Aeryn said.
Crichton just looked at her for a few more moments and he noticed that she had not looked him the eyes since his illness. He didn�t know if that was a good or bed thing. Was she really worried or was she not and that why she feel so bad. Then it hit him what she said she really thought he was going home to earth--maybe it was time he told her the truth.
�Aeryn I can�t go back to earth, not knowing the things that I know. I�ve been through so much I can�t go back and just be the son of a hero,� Crichton said.
�No matter what your friends, family or people you don�t know on Earth say you are a hero�you�ve change as much and more than anyone on this ship,� Aeryn said.
�Thanks Aeryn,� Crichton said, taking her hand and pulled her down on his bed.
�Crichton promise me you won�t leave me�without saying goodbye,� Aeryn said as she leaned her back against his chest and he wrapped his arms around her.
�Aeryn I wont ever leave you�.ever,� Crichton said kissing the top of her head,
�Crichton just promise me,� Aeryn said softly.
�Aeryn your stuck with me until I die or�you die,� Crichton said and she took a deep breath and sigh.
�Thank you,� Aeryn said getting up to leave, but he grabbed her wrist and pulled her back down to the bed.
�Crichton you need sleep if you want to get back to work,� Aeryn said.
�Why, you can handle things with out me and besides I�m ready to go back to work now,� Crichton said, sounding like he thought he meant nothing.
�Crichton you are the only person on this ship who can do repair after repair and still do it with a smile and,� Aeryn said.
Before he lost his nerve he kissed her at first it was a soft kiss, but than one of them parted their lips and grew more passionate. She arms went around his neck and his around her waist until she was lying on top of him. D�argo had chosen to check on him and stop walking when he saw them kissing. It was at that moment he turned around and went back to Chiana with a smile on his face.
�So how is Crichton,� Chiana asked while eating.
�I think he is doing much better and should be back on his feet tomorrow,� D�argo said.
�Maybe I should go see him,� Chiana said.
�He was a little busy when I went to see him,� D�argo said.
�With what�Aeryn had made sure that,� Chiana said then stopping when she knew what he meant.
D�argo got some food and started to eat and Chiana began talking about any and everything she could. Zhaan was in the infirmary working on some test, Rygel was with Pilot and Aeryn was still with Crichton. Chiana had noticed the strange look that D�argo had suddenly got and needed to know why.
�D�argo what�s up,� Chiana asked.
�I was just wondering why I am the one who always catches them,� D�argo said and Chiana just started to laugh.
