Summary: Is an old Legacy member the cause of Rachel�s death.

Kat was about to graduate high school and Derek sat in the audience very proud. Along with Philip Nick and Alex that sat next to Derek. Each had a present for her, but Derek�s was more of a tradition present then there�s. Kat started to walk towards them and Nick gave her a hug and swung her around.
�Congratulations Sweetness,� Nick said.
�Thanks,� Kat said excepting his gift.
�Open it,� Alex said as she opened it.
�Thanks,� Kat said looking at her charmed bracelet.
�Here�s mine,� Philip said as she started to open it.
�It beautiful,� Kat said looking at the cross necklace.
�Mine a little more tradition,� Derek said and she opened it.
�Thanks Dad,� Kat said seeing gold watch.
Kat had spent most of her life at Angel Island and now she was in the local university majoring in Culture Anthropology. And of course he dad was a teacher in once of her classes, which made it hard not to study. She was made a member of the legacy a month after she graduated high school. Derek had made it clear on more then one occasion she would be the head of the house when he died so she had a lot to learn. Nick and Alex had moved out and in to Rachel and Kat�s old house. They had been married for 6 years and had two children, Rose who was 41/2 and Rachel who was 2. Derek still lived on Angel Island with Kat and Philip. A new member had joined their house like years before, but left since she said they didn�t following the rules.
�Dad, they weren�t any sign of anything supernatural,� Kat said.
�Are you sure Kat,� Nick asked.
�Yes, we looked for anything out of the ordinary, but nothing,� Alex said.
�So Derek, what do you think,� Philip asked.
�I think we should leave it alone, besides my daughter has an exam to study for,� Derek said handing her a book.
�Are you sure there is nothing I can do to help,� Kat asked pleading.
�Study,� he said smiling since even at 20 years old she still tried to get out of studying even if she knew she couldn�t.
Then up in the cloud stood a white Spirit that had had taken Rachel life, but he stood with two women, who have been watching the legacy grow.
�So why am I still here Julia,� Rachel asked.
�To see what your loss would bring, my death meant your bring and Nick and Alex�s happiness. Your death brought the legacy together, but forever suffered to bond. Derek�s love for you went to Kat, who now calls him Dad with honor. Try and understand why I brought you here,� Julia said.
�I understand you brought me here to show me I meant more to the legacy then I thought�but I�ve been dead for 8 years and saw them move on,� Rachel said and Julia smiled at her.
�Even though I can�t be with the legacy in body�I am always with you in spirit,� Julia said.
�Hey Alex, where is that book on curses,� Kat asked.
�Why going to curse your father,� Alex asked smiling.
�No it for my paper I�m writing�for his class and of course he had to give me the hardest subject to write about,� Kat said.
They were about to grab a book when a bright light appeared, and there stood Julia. Derek was caring Rachel and Nick had Rose in his arms as they walked in, while Philip looked up from the book he was translating. They just stood there and Kat knew how she was from all the pictures she had seen of her.
�Hell-o everyone, I came to tell you all will be restored�I only wish you all could remember what your lives have been like the last 8 years,� Julia said.
�Daddy,� Kat said.
�Kat,� Derek said.
Derek going to grabbing her and Rachel�s hand and holding them tight making sure he didn�t hurt them. Nick went for Alex and held her tight while Philip had grabbed Rose�s hand. Then one by one there hand connected making a circle and then they stood in the same spots they did the day Rachel dies.
�No way, I�m 12 again�, Kat said.
�Kat,� Derek said.
�Dad, how do we remember,� Kat said.
�We were all connected, we all took hand making a circle�so it couldn�t separated us,� Philip said.
�Rachel, where is she,� Derek said,
Rachel disappeared in to the blue light she had shown up in 8 years before. She understood the friendship the other�s had to Julia because she had one with her now also. Julia appeared before the spirit and smiled at him. She knew he had done the right thing even if he didn�t.
�Thank you so much, I know now that their lived will be the right ones and that they are happy,� Julia said.
�You are Welcome, but you gave a lot on feeling in a few days they will have forgotten all,� the spirit said.
�They�ll always know in their hearts what they feel, that will never change, Julia said and the spirit left with knowing he had done what was right for once in his eternal life.
�Protect them Rachel for you are the only one who has seen the real evil of the world,� Julia said.
They all ran to the spot where Rachel was killed and saw a blue light and then she appeared. Her outfit was the same one she wore when she was killed so long ago. She just smiled at them as they started at her in shock-- she was alive.
�Mom,� Kat said as She ran at full speed to her mother�s arms and Rachel accepted her.
�So your death will never happen,� Derek said.
�No, But in a few days we will all forget what happened,� Rachel said as they went to talk about what happen.
�Alex marry me,� Nick said.
�What,� Alex said.
�I love you, you love me so let�s get married,� Nick said.
�Ok,� Alex said putting her arms around his neck she leaned forward to kiss.
�Dad,� Kat said to Derek who walked in.
�Yes Kat,� Derek said.
�I can still call you that right,� Kat said as he looked at her and gave her a hug.
�Forever, Kat�forever,� Derek said.
�Rachel can we talk, I don�t remember all that happened it seems to be getting fainter, but I do know that I don�t want Kat to leave,� Derek said.
�I know that why Kat and I are moving here�while Nick and Alex takes my house,� Rachel said.
Days had passed and it was almost like a dream that you knew you had but couldn�t remember what it was. It had been a month since the event happen, but to them it seemed longer. Nick and Alex were married a week later by Philip on Angel Island.
The wedding was small, only Legacy members and Alex grandmother Rose. The sun was bright and shined on them, but there still was cool wind while the flowers were at bloom. Alex wore a white dress given to her grandma Rose that had been worn for generations. Rachel had let her barrow her cross necklace that she wore on her wedding day.
�Ok, let go down the list,� Rachel said.
�Some thing Old is the dress, Something barrowed is the necklace, something blue are the earrings and flowers, so all we need something new,� Alex said.
�Here,� Kat said giving them a small package.
Alex opened it to find a hairpiece as she looked at it Alex just smiled. Rachel pulled back some of her short curly hair and put it in. Alex looked down at the engagement ring Nick had given her two days ago. It was a simple thing sliver band with a good size diamond on it. Kat held up the gold band that Alex would give Nick later on. There was a symbol in graved in it as there was one engraved in the one Nick would give Alex. Rachel and Derek had chosen to date before they did anything like this, but Kat still called him Dad. The wedding began and everyone watched as they said their vows, exchanged rings, and Kiss.
�May I introduce Mr. And Mrs. Nicolas Boyle,� Philip said as they turned to see everyone.
They all clapped and hugged them as they walked back in to the house. Rose had chosen to cook for the legacy family, and to welcome Nick to the family. Everyone danced with everyone, and Kat was given a gift by Rose who took her to the kitchen.
�You are special my child, you are gifted beyond any ones dream so wear this for protection,� Rose said giving her a necklace with a white-blue stone on it.
�Thank you Rose,� Kat said putting it on.
Rose smiled at least she can sleep knowing someone will have some protection from the evil of this house. Rose stood and watched as Kat returned to the party and Nick picked her up and swung her around and they began to dance. Alex was dancing with Philip and Rachel and Derek were dancing. Rose smiled to see her granddaughter had a family she could trust and love her, but the child would need more than just a simple spell to protect her. She knew Rachel and Derek�s love would help it but no always. And the love Philip, Nick and Alex had for her made the child even safer--for now.
