| What Would I Be Willing To Go To Jail For |
| Beyond family and relationships, I would be willing to go to jail for a few things. The two most important things I would go to jail for are my freedom and for protecting myself. These would both have to be extreme cases, though. I would not willingly walk into a dark, dank jail cell for no reason at all. That would be stupid. My freedom is important to me. As Americans we are granted many freedoms that other people are not entitled to. If someone tries to deny me my rights, I would protest it. I would not take it lying down. The Constitution guarantees Americans certain unalienable rights and freedoms. I have the freedom of speech and religion. I would willingly go to jail to defend these rights. Another reason I would willingly go to jail would be for defending myself. I am a very easy-going type of person. I try not to get upset over every little detail, but if you physically attack me, I will try to defend myself. I will not stand by while someone beats up on me. I do not feel that it is right for someone to go to jail for defending themselves, but it has happened before. I would proudly march into the jail cell for defending myself. Self-defense is not something you should be ashamed of. Going to jail is not a pleasant thought. I do not know anyone who would willingly go to jail for no reason. Of course, I would go to jail for my family and friends. Yet, there are only two other things I would go to jail for: protecting my freedom and defending myself. Other than those reasons, I wish to remain jail-free. |
