| �Dreams Into Reality� Many of Hughes� poems are about the importance of dreams and goals to human existence including �Dreams�. This poem specifically tells what happens when dreams are lost. A dream I would like to turn into reality is my dream to become a well-renowned broadcast journalist. One obstacle I would have to do to reach my goal is to graduate from high school. A high school diploma is the bottom of the totem pole for my goal. Without it, I would not be able to become a journalist at all. High school classes including journalism, yearbook journalism, and computer science prepares me for the more advanced classes of journalism in college. In conclusion, a high school diploma is a key aspect I will need to achieve my goal. The next important thing I will need to achieve my dream is a college education. I plan to go to the University of South Carolina in Columbia (USC) and continue my education. This university has a good mass communications and journalism programs that will fulfill my needs. During college, I could get internships in the local city and get hands-on experience on the job. In conclusion, college will play a vital role in my journalism career. The last, but not least, trait that I will need to achieve my dream is determination. This is the main trait anyone needs to be successful. With determination, I cam make my way through high school and college and achieve my goal. All in all, determination is a fine trait to have to achieve a goal. In conclusion, my dream of becoming a well-renowned journalist may be pretty tough to achieve, but determination will allow me to achieve it. Dreams are to be held. Without them, �Life is like a broken-winged bird that cannot fly.� |
