My family does not do anything extra-special for Thanksgiving. We have an average get-together. The routine that we follow is usually the same each year.
On Thanksgiving Day, my parents usually eat dinner with my mother�s side of the family. They all gather up at a relative�s house and eat, talk, and watch football. I usually end up going with my parents for a little while, but I like to eat with my father�s family better. I love all of the food that we have. We have everything from turkey to ham to mashed potatoes to macaroni to beans to rice to sweet potato pie. I eat forever on Thanksgiving Day and more off of the leftovers over the course of the next couple of days.
This year my usual routine will probably be a little different. I plan on going to by girlfriend�s house for Thanksgiving. It will be my first Thanksgiving with her; therefore I do not know exactly how it will go.
Overall, my family does not do anything special for Thanksgiving. We just get together and have a good time. It is never anything more than a good ole� country get-together. |
