Is Experience the Best Teacher?
Many sat that experience is the best teacher, but they hardly ever say how much tuition cost. People are not perfect, this allows them to make mistakes in their everyday life. Most of the time the mistakes can help a person learn not to make the same mistake twice, but some mistakes should not be made in the first place. Often mistakes come with a price that exceeds getting another chance as well.
Many parents say �let them learn from their mistakes�, when they talk about their children doing things that they should not be doing. This could teach a child a lesson and provide them with the knowledge needed to not make them same mistake twice. This could also prove hazardous to a child if a parent lets them do dangerous things, thinking they will learn not to keep doing them. Their mistake could prove to be fatal and they could never get a chance to make them same mistake.
Experience is the best teacher, but letting a person keep doing dangerous things may not help them learn from them. Often people get hurt or put in jail, before they try to right the wrongs they have done. Many times it is to late for them to change anything about the things they do. Even though some mistakes do not cost people anything, learning from a mistake is not the right path to gaining knowledge in many situations. The path to take is to make the right decision from the start, so no mistakes are made. |
