WHO AM I?
Who am I?  Who do they see?  Who do I wish to be?  My name Carla, meaning Strong Womanly, utterly describes me.  Who I am and whom others see are two similar, yet different people.  I walk down the road of life with and open mind, but am faced with the task of balancing who I am, whom others see, and who I wish to be.  Although this jostles me, I attempt to be the best.  Even though the world can be a wicked place, I wish to live my life as an example to all.
Who am I?  I am a girl with varied emotions.  As a teenager I am faced with many new challenges and decisions everyday.  I am full of curiosity and spunk to discover new ideas.  Although this road of life is full of hills and valleys, I am determined to advance to the finish line in first place.  I am thoughtful of others feelings and I am always willing to lend a hand at any moment.  In everything I do, I take great pride.  I am meticulous and detailed in doing even the smallest jobs.  Having one hair out of place irks me!  I am intelligent and use this gift as a help to not only me, but also others in need. In every aspect of life, I attempt to put God first, others second, and myself last.
Who do others see?  Others look at me as a person of uniqueness.  A perfectionist is the nickname often referred to me.  Others view me as a friend, willing to share my thoughts, belongings, and ideas.  When someone needs a pen, money, or help with last nights homework, they come to Carla, knowing I am happy to share at any moment.  One of my closest friends gets aggravated because she says I am too nosey.  I have to see or know whats going on in every way of life.  I am also known for laughing all the time!  Once I start, I cannot possibly stop.  Although these qualities help to complete my personality, most people who do not know me well only look to my outside appearance as Carla.  I always remind the others not to judge a book by its cover.
Who do I wish to be?  My whole life I have practiced certain standards taught by my parents, friends, and teachers.  Despite the fact that I need all of these to be successful, I wish to be a role model for all.  I want others to look at me and see her inside qualities as well as her outside physique, the good opposed to the bad, and God instead of the world.  I wish to be someone a little girl can look up to as one she wants to be when she grows up.  The qualities needed for this difficult task are honesty, integrity, and determination.  Without these traits no one can possible succeed as a role model for others.  As I have grown older, I have realized the most important quality of a role model is to be yourself.  When I leave this world, I hope to have made an immense impression on someones life.
In viewing the three persons, I have come to the conclusion that the best me is the one I wish to be.  No matter how hard I strive for perfection, I will always have room for improvement.  As I venture through life, I realize that the most important this I wish for is to be me at all times.  I have to understand that people are always going to criticize, put down, and make me into a person I am no.  Through it all, I have to remain me!  I will never be perfect, but I hope to make an impact on someones life.  Who am I?  Who do they see?  Who do I wish to be?  ME!
