Disbelief
My initial response to the Attack on America: Total Disbelief.  I cannot believe someone could do

something so horrific to innocent people.  This nation stands for freedom and justice and this is how we

are treated?  Our nation: a wonderful place that is envied by all who are not here.

At first I could not believe my eyes.  As we stood there watching thousands of people dying as the Twin
Towers fell to the ground, I realized what our country means.  People die everyday for freedom and

society is just noticing. The thought of thousands dying: unbelievable.  Then after the disbelief faded, the
overwhelming sadness set in.  The televisions are crowded with footage taped on 9-11 and peoples

families that had lost someone.  Women and children begging to find their husbands or daddies, Men

searching for wives or sisters touches me in an appalling way.  Sadness strikes everyones heart as we

watch the aftermath of the attack.

Everyones personalities have changed.  I, for one, have realized that I really love my country and will

do anything I can for it, but I also get mad, because I dont want soldiers to go to war.  Most families

that have dads, moms, sons, and daughters in the military are most likely worried about each other.  The
Attack on America has changed many peoples view on life.

The Attack on America could be called a senseless tragedy.  It could not have been prevented or

stopped, but not all is bad.  All the people that died is terrible, but look at all the people that have come

together to support our great country.  I love my country, The United States Of America.
