My Plans After Graduation
I do not have any expectations of attending a two-year college.  Throughout my entire high school career I have tried to prepare myself for a four-year college.  I want the experience of a four-year university and my dream career requires a bachelor's degree.
I have tried to challenge myself during high school to better prepare myself for college.  I try to do my best on all of my assignments, even if that includes going the extra mile.  I have taken rigorous courses such as Advance Placement US History, which is a college history class, as well as other honors classes.  My grades are mostly A's and I have gotten a couple B's.  I make sure to frequently take the SAT, ACT, and PSAT to increase my scores so I can be accepted into the college of my choice.  The idea of college has been a part of my life, academically, for quite some time now.
The experience of college is appealing to me.  The idea of being independent is exciting.  The time management and responsibility expected of me will help me mature and develop from a foolish teenager into a mature young lady.  The diversity of college also excites me.  Because I live in a small town I am limited to the new adventures and experiences.  I love learning about different cultures, and meeting people from other places.  At college there will be people from all over the world.
Teaching is the career I desperately desire to pursue.  I love children and education.  A first grade teacher is the perfect job for me.  The only way for me to become a teacher is to receive at least a bachelor's degree from a four-year university.
I have never been the type of person who dreams big and then sits back and waits for them to come true.  Attending a four-year college is my goal, and I am not afraid of the hard work that is needed to fulfill this goal
A two-year college is not bad, it is just not meant for me.  A four-year college offers more of the things I want and need.
