Starfleet Database File on the Trill "Zeman" Symbiont:
The Zeman Symbiont has had a total of three ⁽³⁾ hosts.

• 1^st. Odan Zeman - A Freighter captain, with a Starfleet record for smuggling.
  Odan Zeman was a Freighter captain, often traveling from one side of the quadrant to the next.
  It was not till 6 years after he started his Freighter vessel was brought up on charges of
  smuggling, he was charged of supplying weapons to the Bajoran Resistance on Bajor and smuggling
  Bajoran's off Terok Nor, the Cardassian mining station above Bajor which was under occupation by
  the Cardassian Government. Odan Zeman was also charged for supplying weapons to Anti-Federation
  Extremists and smuggling illegal narcotics. Odan was believed to be working for the Orion
  Syndicate but no proof of this accusation was ever found, his ship the "Firefly" was disabled
  by a Starfleet vessel, the USS Decatur which was patrolling the Federation/Cardassian boarder
  when they found him seemingly trying to evade Cardassian sensor stations and patrol ships on
  his way to Bajor. The USS Decatur sent an away team onboard the Firefly to find Odan Zeman,
  dead on the floor seemingly he was trying to repair an EPS conduit when it exploded, throwing
  him back and ending his life, the away team also found no sign of illegal goods on the Firefly
  but they did find several "smuggling holds" under the floor decking which is commonly used to
  hide goods from ship inspectors.

• 2^nd. Kristi Zeman - Retired Starfleet Engineering Officer.
  Lieutenant Commander Kristi Saunders had not ever wanted to be joined, but the symbiont had to
  be placed in a host to keep it from dying on the way to Trill and she volunteered thinking it
  would be a temporary thing, that the symbiont would be removed as soon as the ship reached Trill.
  The operation went great, Kristi and the Symbiont both seemed to be doing well and it seemed that
  the USS Decatur would make it to Trill just in time after waiting for the USS Seymour to replace
  it's post of patrolling the Federation/Cardassian border.
  Half way to Trill, the USS Decatur received a distress call from a freighter vessel that would
  take them about an hour off course for Trill, they replied to the distress call since they were
  the only Starship in range while also believing that they would still make it to Trill in time for
  the symbiont to be safely removed from Kristi without harm to Kristi or the symbiont.
  The distress call was a trap, when the Decatur arrived at the freighter which was very near an
  anomaly and lowered its shields to beam engineering crews aboard, they were attacked by 2 ships
  that seemed to have been using the anomaly to mask their signatures, judging by the ships and
  their tactics the ships were believed to be of the Orion Syndicate, the Decatur's communications
  were being jammed and they were exchanging fire with the two ships.
  It just so happens that another ship, the USS Challenger on its way to Trill to drop off a
  Federation Representative for an upcoming conference picked up the weapons fire on they're
  sensors and adjusted course to render aid.
  The three Orion Syndicate vessels jumped to warp when they seen the Challenger approaching,
  good thing to cause if it had been a couple minutes later the Decatur would have been destroyed.
  Kristi did not have time now to get to Trill before the ninety-three hour period was up, removal
  of the symbiont after that time would mean death for Kristi and the symbiont so she kept it,
  Kristi was later able to identify the two ships that attacked the Decatur as ships of the Orion
  Syndicate, but would not reveal any information regarding the Syndicates connection to Odan Zeman.
  Kristi retired from Starfleet 6 months after, and lived with her Bajoran husband, Cazic Thule on
  Bajor where she had 2 Children, one boy, Nagafen Thule and one girl, Karana Thule. She died 5
  years after being joined, by a bite from a highly venomous spider of Bajor, her increased
  sensitivity to insect bites, due to being joined with the symbiont caused her to die within minutes
  of the bite, there was nothing anyone could have done, the Zeman symbiont was sent to Trill onboard
  the USS Defiant that was stationed at Deep Space 9, Kristi Zeman Thule was buried on Bajor, behind
  the home where she lived with her family.
  All Medical Records For Kristi Saunders, Zeman, Thule Have Been Sealed and Deemed Classified By Starfleet Command.
