We at Civilization Anonymous have but one purpose, to grant refuge for the weary soul tired from compromise with a corrupt society.

The only requirement for membership is a desire for greater human harmony.

We are a desperately needed underground where hope can be nurtured as well as a support network for those that are working to find new avenues for human progress. Such people are often under many pressures. Our current way of life creates an ever-increasing number of stresses for those seeking non-conformity with the organizations that oppress us. We understand those stresses and we understand that certain compromises are inevitable in a society where physical coercion is daily affirmed by the media. We do not judge or shame one another for those ways in which we protect our own lives and freedom but we do honor those whom find creative ways to limit such compromises in order to purify our self-expression as creators of a more pure way of life. The anonymity found here, the secrecy of belonging to a growing fellowship of dissent is meant to help ameliorate the shame that is natural to those seeking self-preservation in a society that has regressed to a barbaric state. As the majority of our lives will have some integration with the problem we will be comforted by this one part that lives in the solution.

We believe that as one civilization is dying the other is being born. It is the search for the seeds of this new conception that is our work as members. As we share our intuitions and insights we enrich a new life form, the new way that civilized people will behave, one that will have the powers of attraction and will need no confrontation with the forces of evil, rather it will be immune from its powers. We, as a community, will form the primordial paradigm of tomorrowís peace and prosperity. At Civilization Anonymous we sacrifice our personal glories and ambitions for a more human glory and ambition.

Many human beings have felt hopeless and powerless over the sense of decline that we have been witnessing for many years. We resist that hopelessness by expressing our fears and leaning on one another but remaining in the first step of this program.

We came to believe fully that our work with others could and would improve the human condition.

When we lose faith in this idea we are reminded of human history that affirms the great cycles of human decline and progress and how our survival depended always upon some small number of anonymous people dedicated to the protection of the spirit of the social contract which can be reduced to the slogan: all for one and one for all!

Here are some principles that we know to be essential ingredients to this way of life. Unity around these principles is essential to the creation of a forum that is trusting and loving:

Pacifism is the foundation of a healthy society and it poses no danger to those who are completely committed to it. The security it affords acts as our most attractive quality. Violence is evidence of the problem, always. We at Civilization Anonymous refrain from discussing it as a methodology.

Self-purification is a life-long quest and recovery of this process is essential to independence from the civilization that is dying. Those still in bondage to our society seek to medicate themselves. Self-purification aids us in our financial resistance, by eliminating extravagances, as well as helping us to think clearly in a dangerous environment.

We affirm that there is one God that unites every human being spiritually and that our personal approaches, be they bound by cultural or ethnic traditions, do not apply to the principles that safeguard the new world community that must seek a common source of creation.

If you ever feel the profound awareness of human degradation and hurt from the powerlessness of the situation we encourage you to join us in our efforts to remain hopeful in this dark time. We are the torchbearers that protect the fires of intuition, insight and reason against the cold winds of barbarism and chaos. While others throw their arms into the air we sit down to work together to help our brothers and sisters, not by small political battles pitched for symbolic expression, but by isolating the essential ingredients that make great leadership possible and making efforts to live by them.
