The EE-9 Cascavel Armored Vehicle was developed by the
Brazilian company Engesa in the 1960ies to replace the
similar US-made M8, in use since WWII. It is a light,
small, low-cost, easy-maintenance and all-terrain
fighting vehicle. Some countries, like Iraq, produced
the Cascavel under license in the 198ies. In the First
Gulf War, it was one of the main concerns of the
American forces. Nowadays, these vehicles have been
replaced for more modern ones.
