About Civ89

Civ89 is a turn-based strategy game for the TI-89, TI-89 Titanium, TI-92 plus, and Voyage 200 calculators that is based on the Civilization series. It is playable by two human competitors on the same calculator. It is no-stub, meaning that no additional software is required to run the program.

Your mission: build an empire and conquer opposing armies. Overwhelm your opponent with superior technology. Build a vast economic domain to support your growing army. Develop your kingdom through construction of cities and roads. Who will be victorious?

Update:
In current releases of CivEdit and Civ89, newly made scenarios are incompatible with older versions of Civ89 (but not vice-versa). This is because different transport units can now accept different combinations of unit types (any combination of ground, water, air, and high air). This gives me an opportunity to make a new default scenario (without, of course, getting rid of the old one). If you found parts of the default scenario to be imbalanced, or would like to recommend new units or changes to existing units, please e-mail me with suggestions. I do not plan to make major changes; this is an adjustment, not a reinvention.

I am currently thinking of adding an optional second battle engine to Civ89, one wherein defending units do some damage to attacking units (perhaps typically less damage than the attacking unit). If you have any ideas, please e-mail me.

I have partially completed some AI for Civ89, but am not currently working on it. I may or may not finish it at some point in the future. Developer information regarding the AI can be found on the developers page.
