Irish Weather
Obviously no one goes to Ireland to work on their tan. It has a fine climate - mild, no extremes - but you might come to think it has too much weather even without the extremes! As the weather comes in off the Atlantic, Ireland gets it first.  Rain, then sunshine, then rain again. Be prepared to face all weathers within one day.

Ireland's 'soft day' of clouds & light rain are unavoidable any time of the year.  The trick is to time your activities around the weather - don't plan on seeing far reaching vistas if the clouds are down! Make hay when the sun shines - get in your hikes, your drives, your golf. Save the pubs & sweater shops for when the weather turns.

July & August are the warmest months: average daytime temperature is 64 (F), average nighttime temperature is 50 (F).  May, June or September may be statistically cooler months than July & August, but they are also statistically drier.
