| hello again and welcome to the city of the monthsorry for the lateness of the update but things around here are getting crazier by the dayjust as an editors note, do not worry if the city of the month does not show up in your e-boxes for a couple months because i will most likely be in a state of e-isolationbut do not fear because it will continue in my head until i am able to find my way to the internetand now the city of the month for june
SHANGHAI, CHINA finally we move to strange and foreign places, unfortunately the english language websites are dreadfully inept, but since none of us understand chinese we will have to make dueyou can begin with an overview and travel guide at http://www.travelchinaguide.com/cityguides/shanghai.htm want the american chamber of commerce in shanghai? http://www.amcham-shanghai.org/AmchamPortal/ pictures? http://www.chinapictures.org/type/travel/shanghai/ lonely planet has a decent shanghai page at http://www.lonelyplanet.com/worldguide/destinations/asia/china/shanghai and finally the airport http://www.2747.com/2747/world/airport/shanghai.htm so that is a very brief look at shanghaiand as always if you have been to the city, feel free to email me your thoughts and i will post them on the websitehopefully i will be able to send you the next few cities, but do not fear, either way the city of the month will be back on the web in no timeenjoy your summer and as always here is the quote of the month now i lost my saint christopher now that I've kissed her and the one-armed bandit knows, and the maverick chinamen, and the cold-blooded signs and the girls down by the strip-tease shows go and it's a battered old suitcase to a hotel someplace and a wound that will never heal no prima donna, the perfume is on an old shirt that is stained with blood and whiskey -tom waits |
