Warning:
New rules in Newcomers Club:

Ex-residents who didn't subscribe to Cybertown
are not allowed to chat in the Newcomers Club.

Otherwise visitors chat would close definitely.

When we find out that Visitors are actually ex-residents coming to chat, our duty is to remove them from the chat unless they are willing to join back or get info about their pending sponsoring and accounts.

Be sure we hate this too, but here is why we must do it:

On January 7th 2003, Cybertown turned into a pay site.
At that time, the status of Visitors has changed since they were not able to chat anywhere in Cybertown, not even in Newcomers Club.

With the help of Hawk, IVN allowed visitors to chat again, in NC only.
It's very important for newcomers to have some place where they can chat to have a first contact with Cybertown.

But some ex-residents took this opportunity to come back to chat (for free) in Cybertown.
Due to people who abused of this, we had to accept this compromise with IVN. People can still join Cyberton for a 30-day free trial membership.
You'll be asked for your credit card number, it will be charged at the end of the 30-day period unless you close your account.
It's a good way to come back to Cybertown and maybe, who knows, join again :)

We totally understand how you ex-residents can feel about it.
Some of you were old timers active residents of Cybertown.
You lost your nicknames, houses, ccs, titles, friends...
And now you feel "pestered" since we don't even allow you to chat.

But Cybertown is property of IVN and they are the ones who decide.
We are not working for them, we even pay to work here :)
We are working for people, not for any company.
But if we don't apply this rule, visitors chat will be closed definitely.

I hope you can understand they are not to let people chat for free on a pay site chat.
It makes sense.
