First, you need to join Cybertown. Visitors can't have homes
There are 10 colonies in Cybertown.
Each colony is made of several Neighborhoods.
Each Neighborhood is made of several blocks.
(A block is a group of several homes)
When in a block, click on a "free" spot to get your own home.
How do i proceed to get a home
1.) Choose a Colony
You need to choose your Colony first, according to your interests.
Here is a List of the Colonies with links and notes.
Take a look, it's a pop up window :)2.) Choose a Neighborhood
Once you chose a Colony, you need to choose a Neighborhood in this Colony.
You can see the differents Neighborhoods on the map above the 2D chat.
Just click the one you chose to go there.
Now you should see the list / map of Blocks there3.) Choose a Block
Just click on the Block you chose to go there.
Now you should see a map with little houses, roads, river...
Click on one of the spots marked "free".
There you are, you have a house :)
Now you need to fill some informations
1.) Your House Name
Do not miss to give a name to your house!
It would take the cost of the house and redirect you to a new free spot.2.) Select a 2D and a 3D house
The 2D house is free. What you select there is just how it appear on the Block map.
There are several 3D houses you can choose at different prices. It's optional.
Remember you received 1000cc when you immigrated, so you can afford those who costs 160cc or 200cc :)
(The 200cc one has a pool in the garden ;-)3.) Click the "update" button at the bottom of the page
More Features in your house: the buttons
1.) Information
Click it to display the information about your house.
See "update" below to know how to set your info.2.) Inbox
This is actually your private MailBox
Just click the button in the right frame to open your inbox.
Check if you got some messages, the Block Staff will probably post you a welcome message soon :)
There is a button to reply to your message.
Your reply goes to the sender's inbox.3.) Messages
It's a message board like the public ones you can see in CT.
There, you can read public info posted by the block staff
If you reply, your reply will only appear on this very board.4.) Links
This will open a window with links you selected.
See "update" below to know how to set those links.5.) Block Name (or logo)
Click this to go to the Block Map directly.6.) Update
Clicking this button will give you access to advanced functions:
Update your house
Here is what you see after you clicked the "Update" button:
1.) Home
There you can update
- Your house name
- Your 2D and 3D house2.) Information
There you can update
- Your info (displayed with the "informaation" button).
- Your favorite links (displayed when peeople click "links" button)3.) Image
You can add an image to your 2D house.
Just upload it from your computer.
The file must be a .jpg or .gif and not exceed 15ko.4.) Reset
If you click this, you erase everything you updated (links, info etc.).5.) Chat access rights
There you can select up to 8 people who are allowed to chat in your house
If anything is selected (name, job) only those are able to see the chat in your house.6.) Configure Virtual Pet
You can have a "pet" (robot) in your house
Click it and here is what you see:
- Click the "Help" link (4) to knnow how to configure your pet. - Give your pet a name (1)
- Make you sure the "Activate Pet" boox (3) is checked.
(if not, you won't have a pet in your house)
- Your pet can have an avatar (2)>, just put any URL you want there - "Input text" (5): if you type ""hello", your pet will respond when people say "hello"
- "Say/Action" (6): type there whhat you want your pet to reply :)Advanced tips:
- Leaving 1st "input text" blank: your ppet will respond when people enter
- %nickname% is a code that will be repllaced by the visitor's name in chat :)
People in charge of those areas are respectively:
- Colony Leaders, helped by Colonny Deputies.
- Neighborhood Leaders helped by Neighborhoods Deputies.
- Block Leaders helped by Block DDeputies.
Furnish your home
When you immigrate, you have 1000cc (cc is City Cash, Cybertown virtual money)
It's enough to buy a home (you can have one for 200cc) and some furniture to start.
To buy furniture, go to The Mall via the Jumpgate.
In stores, right click an object and choose "buy", the object goes in your "bp" (backpack).
When in your home, right click this object in your BP and choose "drop".
