Pit Fowls
Game Fowls are usally used to fight against one another in Derbys or back yard fighting. Although I do not approve of this I do not ask the buyers if they plan on involving themselves or the birds I am selling to them in this hobby.
My roosters and hens are from the best blood lines. Their parents won many a times in the pits. Some times winning the owner thousands of dollars. Pit fowls originate from the supposed source of all poultry, the Jungle Fowl. Pit Fowl are also suspected to be the closest relative to the Jungle Fowl. There is a smaller version of them called the Old English, but currently I only have the Standard sized ones. I do plan to have the BB Red OE soon though.
You can not put more then one rooster in the same pen together, they will fight till one or both is dead. And you can not put 2 pens against one another. The roosters in each pen will fight through the wire. Although you would not think they could hurt each other in opposit pens you are quite wrong. They will peck at each other through the wire and flog the wire as well. Resulting in a bloody head, legs and feet. Some times the results in lose of toes, or other parts of the bird's body, and some times in severe cases, death.
If you dont have a cage for each indevidual rooster I would suggest not getting this breed.

How I got mine:
WL Hatch - My brother worked for a man who fights them professionally. The man was retireing this rooster from fighting cause he had been injured too much in his short life time to continue productively. The man's idea though of retirement was to use the rooster as a punching bag for the other roosters to practice on. He was almost at his end when my dad talked him into letting him have the rooster and a few hens in return for some old guns. My dad in return brought me the rooster in his beat up condition, and 2 young pullets that he got from that man for the trade. I doctored up the rooster, named him Scruffy and now he has a nice home and is healthy, free of fighting.

Whitehackle (Murphy) - Mr. Whitener in Cleveland Tennessee has a farm near Red Clay Park. There he raises lots of game fowl and I found him while looking for a feed store that sells chicks. He owns Red Clay Farm and Feed. He regularly takes chickens to the derbys in Louisianna and fights them. The father to my chicks pictured above was recently in the derby, I plan on asking what rank that rooster finished in.

I currently do not have any of this breed for sale.
I do however have a hen setting on some eggs that should be hatching some time late April or Early May.
I will be culling most the roosters and keeping my pick of hens when those are about 3 months old.
Reason for culling of the roosters is, I dont want too many roosters cause they will all need seperate cages.
