As you trot along the rim of the canyon, you see two small shapes skittering about madly, apparently playing some kind of game. As you get closer, you see they are some kind of two-legged reptiles. Intrigued, you jog the rest of the way.
They look up curiously, and the larger, a gold female, cradling a partially eaten watermelon, waddles forward. "I am Rasp, a gold female Ritaer, from clutch eight, and this is Runo, a dark teal male from clutch 12," she says curtly, and, waddling back, ignores you. The younger, the male, whines slightly but follows her lead. Suddenly, a barely audible flapping from above makes the slow procession halt. Rasp looks up, and strays away from Runo, looking at the dark shape spiraling down. It lands, and turns out to be a very handsome Ritaer with huge dragon wings.
He smiles adoringly at Rasp, flapping his broad wings. She smiles at the male, and looking toward you, the smile dissapears, replaced by a frown. With a sigh, she motions for the male to follow her. Stoping a few feet from you, she sighs again. "Hume, this is my son, Rays of Red. Ray, meet the human" She says, spitting out the word as if it were something dirty. You roll your eyes at these rude Ritaeri and walk on.
