A Meadow.....
You enter the meadow, feeling almost guilty to tread on the soft lush grass. Sunlight streams through the trees, casting a soft glow on the meadow. Standing before you is a beautiful equine, her silky coat a bright golden shade, broken only by her white paint markings, and her dark socks and mane. She has lovely feathered wings, giving her an overall wild look.
She looks up from her grazing, her bright violet eyes alert. She shuffles her cloven hooves a bit, straightening to look at you. Finally she speaks, her breath blowing at the forelock of dark hair that flops over her eyes. " I am Irihi, Evening Sun. I am a Pegasus, bred and sold by Labrynth at the Market. A portal to her lair is at the edge of this forest, if you wish to visit. Please, come and meet my friends," She asks sweetly, nodding her head towards two more beauitful equines, both alicorns, grazing nearby. You nod, and follow her quickly.
She leads you to the alicorns, stopping a few feet away. The smaller, a dainty pink mare, looks up with shy eyes, a faint glow emanating from her lavender horn. " Hello...I am Hanafubuki, Falling Cherryblossoms. I am an alicorn mare of wild parentage," She says quietly, lowering her head again. The stallion snorts and stamps impatiently, looking at you with annoyance. " I am Nuritate, Freshly Painted, and I am an alicorn stallion, also of wild parentage. Not that it's any of your business," He says contemptuously. You shrug it off and turn back to Irihi, who is speaking in low tones to a lovely little pegasus filly. You peer around the horse-sized mare and smile kindly. "Who are you?" You inquire curiously, and the little filly looks at you with equal curiosity.
"Hello..I'm Soyokaze, Soft Wind. I'm a pegasus filly, but I guess you can see that," She says coyly with a shy smile.
Irihi beams in silent approval of her, and leads you away to the edge of the trees, speaking quietly. " The portal to my homeland is back the other way, but this way leads to the next place in your...quest. Be careful stranger, I would hate to see you hurt," She smiles kindly, and nods to the path leading off into thewoods.
