A Small Earthen Denn......
It snarls again. You try to hide your smile, but you can't help it, he's so cute! He sniffles, and curls up in a small hole, dug by tiny claws you suspect, in the bottom left of the denn. Grinning, you inch over to him. He looks up, sneezes, and crawls onto your lap, his one green eye and one blue eyes working furiously to recognize you. Smiling, you stroke his back, and he sighs. The Earthfire Denns, a beautiful place. My mother and father onced lived there, but they now live with bondmates. My parents are Flamestrider & Wildfire. I was sad to leave at first, but when I saw where I got to stay and who was to be my guardian, I was happy, and I get to visit with my family" he says chattily, and you giggle in earnest. He frowns slightly, and then sighs. "There are two new arrivals here at the denn...'dryosos like myself." he sighs again, and barks 4 short notes. Two lovely 'dryosos emerge from the denn. The pair, grinning mischeviously, are so very different from Element! The lead one, a female, and the back one, a male, are both winged, and with the brightest blue eyes you've ever seen!
The female is grinning ear to ear, and barks happily. "I am Ravenwing, of the babyname Raven, and this is my twin brother, Lunareclipsar, of the babyhood name Lunar. We are custom 'dryosos, recieved graciously in a trade." she says calmly. A small grey female with huge blue eyes peeks out from behind her mother, and with a whimper hides again. Raben sighs, turning around to face the agitated female. She grimly shoves the quivering female forward with a firm push of her nose.
She looks up at you, and with another soft whimper, buries her head in her paws. Raven sighs sadly, nuzzling the little female comfortingly. " This is my daughter, Stormbrewer. She is the youngest of my four children by my mate Snowtreader....she is rather afraid of people, you must forgive her.." she says, and then becomes preoccupied with the little ball of fluff. You nod, looking up to see Lunareclipsar, sitting quietly a short distance away, with another tall male who strongly resemebles him. Raven never mentioned any other siblings between her and Lunar, so you assume it must be his son. He nudges his father, who seemed to be spaced out, and walks over, his amber eyes glowing.
He smiles, tilting his head, You can't help but giggle when his fur flips over his forehead, making him look like elvis. He sniffs at it, blowing it back up with his breath. " I'm ContrastStalker, Lunar and Autum's son...I am the eldest of three brothers, " He says proudly, puffing out his chest. He must have puffed out just a little too much though, for he falls over with a startled yelp. Even StormBrewer laughs at this, and you giggle softly.
A slight rumble and a flurry of several furballs draws your attention away from the two 'dryosos on the lakeside to a hill nearby. The two lead flurries stop rolling, shake themselves off, and strur towards you, the others following suit.
The whole group, for a total of 6, comes toward you, their eyes ucertain. The two males, plus another, a rather worn looking male, step forward. The orange and white nod toward you. " I am Blazeflight, and this.." the orange male motions to the smaller white, "..Is Iceadvance. Behind him is our warrior and seer, Stormseer. We, us and the females, Daysteader, Groundblaze, and Nightshade, make up the FlameSky Denn." He nods to the three females. "We would gladly welcome one male and one female more to our denn, but no more than that. If you are interested, by all means, drop by, our HQ sometime," And with that, he gives a sharp yip, and him and his denn run off.
A large shape, illuminated by the setting sun, strides over purposefully. It's the largest shape here, and far too tall to be another 'Dryoso.
He smiles, and nods to you, his velvety blue wings rustling. "I'm Jonivix, a Runner from Runner Glenn," Elementclash snorts and Ravenwing giggles. When you look at them quizically, Elementclash sighs and grins mock-mournfully. " Joni was such a rascal in his youth, it's hysterical to see him this calm and quiet as an adult! As a kid he was always a hyper ball of fluff who annoyed everyone," Just then, Lunareclipsar clamps a paw over his mouth and he grins an apology to you. You laugh at the utter insanity of this place.
Suddenly, the oddest creature you have ever seen walks gracefully up to you.
He grins, apparently in high spirits. "I'm Flamestrider, a Sira. I'm part of a trade from Unyko, and only the second of my kind to ever leave the Valey. The third, my mate and best friend, is over here." he says with pride, and moves to a small clump of shrub where another of these creatures rests.
She looks up, and stands, moving with boneless grace. "I'm Saria, Flamestrider's mate and companion" she says with a touch of laughter in her voice, and sparkling in her eyes. To your surprise, Flamestrider makes a noise and nuzzles his mate. The noise sounds like, like purring! You notice an odd marking on her chest, and ask her about it. "Oh, this? It means I can shape change" she says matter of factly, and smiles up at her mate. You smile as you watch the pair.
You see a small, odd looking bush in the distance..., and with a hasty farewell to your new friends, decide to explore some more...

Skidding down the mountain, you mutter darkly; " I am never ever going hiking again!" Smiling to yourself, you sit down and look at your surroundings. Blinking, you find yourself in front of a huge mound of reddish, clay like earth. Reaching out to touch it, after all, you love pottery, a snarl warns you back. Scrambling back, skidding on your butt, you see the source of the growl is a smallish canine.
