CCARC

November 17, 2008

Meeting opened by Dick, KC2HSI 7PM.

One guest present, Rich, N9GEX

Minutes read and accepted.

Treasurer’s report read and accepted.

Old Business

The CCARC does not qualify to keep meeting at the Canning Plant. December of 2008 will be the last meeting allowed in the building. As of January 2009, the CCARC will be meeting at the new EOC building.

Picnic, there were fewer people attending our picnic than last year, perhaps due to other ham club meetings.

The SHARC repeater uses an access tone of 103.5 and some net members cannot use the repeater as their radios do not have tone capability. RC will speak with the SHARC repeater trustees and see if the repeater tone can be programmed to be off during the nets. Other solution is to make simple tone boards for those who need them.

Nomination committee reports there are two for CCARC president and two for vice president, while the treasury and secretary incumbents would retain their position if no other nominees are found.

Meeting programs still need to be suggested.

New business

The December 15th meeting will be our annual Christmas Dinner/party. Looks like pizza will be the primary dish.

The CCARC web site is accessible at www.geocities.com/citruscarc.

The first half of a video program about antennas was presented by Bill, W8RGS. Remainder will be presented at our January meeting.

Meeting adjourned at 8:10PM
