He was well respected for his brilliant strategies and appeared as mysterious. The mysteriousness obviously began to ware as we got to know him better. Though some of the methods the techno�s used could be seen as unorthodox he let this slide as he thought that they will benefit everyone in the whole in the head. �Honourable� He�s relationship with ram was a jostle one, ups and down it was wonder why he took with the techno�s but he believed in a better world and felt only the techno�s could bring that. Also with a loose brother who seemed to be taken in by rams plans. Jay lost a bit of his coolness naturally. He got involved in a risky relationship with ebony but as all relationships in the tribe eyes wander and that relationship soon dire out. In series 5 with ved gone, and ebony haven visions of zoot jay looked for stability and that came in the form of amber. He and ebony broke up and he was confessing feelings to her. Very unlike jay. But with the responsibilities of the techno�s on his hands now ram was gone it could be forgiven. Knocked back by amber, jay�s personality soon changes for the worst. No more the moral person trying to make a better future he soon uncovered in a relationship with Trudy. It started off honest but you could feel his heart was with someone else. Engaging a whirlwind romance with Trudy and fighting mega he became self indulgent, I guess there smart mouth of his brother had taken away the novelty for him to look after someone. As all baddies in the tribe there is always an invertible end and jay made sure he played his part in it, but not before he broke up with Trudy and gave in to the invertible amber. There relationship didn�t have much to progress as they got together at then end of the series. His personality could progress for better r for worse, because it definitely was for worse in series 5 and has cost him a lot of fans (I being one of them). But all would be told in the future and I like to see jay go back to his earlier state a moral person though he still is but not focusing himself on relationships they have seem to bring him down and go back to why he first joined the techno�s for a better world for everyone. James Napier James has a wide range of acting experience. He had been on the hospital drama shortland street and being eve. He also has a voice on him and has had singing training with Sherry Shelton & Janice Webb. James can play the guitar and drums and can ride a horse. She and zoot led the evil Locusts. She is a strong person and knows how to fight and for a time her only main line of action was for power. When zoot died ebony still driven for power quickly took over the Locusts. Ebony was the beautiful leader of the evil Locusts. As usual with power comes greed and she soon found out that there was lack of trust though there was never been in the locusts she was over thrown by spike and soon found herself in aiding the mallrats. Ebony had a peculiar relationship with the mallrats, she knew how to manipulate them for a while but her lies caught up to her and she never got accepted as one of them. From series 4 it seemed her range change sure power was still appealing but with the arrival of jay ebony turned her attention to love again. But the jay and ebony relation soon dire out and in series 5 we see ebony striving for power again. Not to her own choosing but with mega and java's manipulation her mind is plagued with visions of zoot and she goes into a modern day appearance of her former local years. Though it can be argued she is not as evil she has gone back to the manic of causing power and chaos. Power and chaos as her driven point until again a man walked into her life (slade) reluctant to subside to him at first but with the death of her sisters she didn't feel the need to and soon went with him. It seems now that ebony�s intention to power as subsided but there is still the manipulating spark we all love about her. Whether she stays in her current sate a good bad guy more or less now content with life in the ground or go back t her previous passion power time will tell - but it seems now that slade is fulfilling all the passion she needs in her life. Who knows if it'll last or if ebony would get bored and leave or if her suspicious mind of jealousy gets to her since ruby hasn't stopped her attentions to slade? I for one wouldn�t mind she and slade cooing together but ebony has never been a weak character. So seeing her sometimes to cuddly and weeping its disappointing I�d rather see her I her series 1 state maybe someone not striving for power and to true the world but a strong person who doesn�t take shit and would like to be in control - cause who wouldn�t Meryl Danielle Cassie Meryl joined the tribe at the age of 14 in the first series. She hasn't had much acting experience till the tribe she had previously trained in drama at the Young People�s Theatre and Nathan Homestead. But she has had numerous experiences in front on the camera in the form of photographic shoots as well as extra work on Hercules and Shortland Street. Prior to acting work Merly has quite a voice on her and loves to sing, she has song some tracks on the Tribe album and she sings the all so popular theme tunes The Dream Must Stay Alive and Tribe Sprit, which she sings with her sisters Megan and Monique |
