Organization:
I. Definition & Positions Held:
A. The 9th Kentucky Citizen's Guard, Inc. is a non-profit organization, whose primary responsibility is to establish auxillary reenactment groups for the purpose of reenacting life in America from the 18th and 19th centuries.  The 9th Kentucky Citizen's Guard, Inc. was founded on November 22, 1997.
B.  Positions created effective November 22, 1997:
Members of the Board:
President
Secretary
Treasurer
Director of Recruiting
Trustee - Military Auxiliary
Trustee - Civilian Auxiliary
II.  Members Rights And Privileges.
A.  Membership is open to all persons 16 years of age or older and their families.  A Family is defined as Parent(s) or Legal Guardian(s) and their children, residing in the same household.  Associate membership is open to all persons.  Honorary membership is granted by the President and Board of Directors.  All persons under the state observed legal agre require written note of permission from a parent or legal guardian to join.  This note must be witnessed by a currently active member.
B.  Levels of Membership and their rights and privileges are defined as such:
1.  Member:
a.  Receives the monthly newsletter through annual membership dues which are paid on or before the Annual General Membership Meeting.
b.  A member attends scheduled meetings and participates in reenactments.
c.  All members have equal rights and privileges as set forth in the By-Laws and Guidelines for the 9th Kentucky Citizen's Guard, Inc.
d.  Members have full voting privileges as set forth in the By-Laws.
2.  Associate Member:
a.  Receives the monthly newsletter through an annual newsletter subscription which is paid on or before the Annual General Membership Meeting.
b.  Is not required to participate in reenactments.
c.  May attend meetings or events scheduled for the 9th Kentucky Citizen's Guard, Inc.
3.  Honorary Member:
a.  A member of another organization or the reenacting community who has earned the title 'Honorary Member' through a demonstration of goodwill and character.  May receive the monthly newsletter through an annual newsletter subscription which is paid on or before the Annual General Membership Meeting.
b.  May attend meetings or events scheduled for the 9th Kentucky Citizen's Guard, Inc.
III.  Liability.
A.  Members assume responsibility for the safety and welfare of themselves and their families.
