WAL-MART PLANS TO EXPAND ITS LONE TREE STORE
TO A SUPERCENTER ADDING 55,000 SQ.FT.
Wal-Mart has filed an application with the City of Antioch to expand its
Lone Tree Way store into a giant supercenter, expanding on the vacant
land adjacent to the existing store. We have concerns:
Increased traffic on Lone Tree - 3500 car trips a day
Increased truck store deliveries - double the current volume
Increased noise for neighborhood residents
24-Hour operating hours
More big box blight
Overnight parking in Wal-Mart lot for campers and RVs
Too many grocery stores already in East Antioch
Citizens For A Better Antioch say it's time to say no to Wal-Mart and its
big box blight. If you agree come to our CBA Picnic and find out what
you can do to fight back and stop this unneeded traffic magnet in our
neighborhood
